Sea of Thieves Season 16

Sea of Thieves
Season 16

Captain Flameheart’s forces gather strength, as his Order of Bone and Blade emerges to aid in the search for Ancient riches!

New Features

The Reaper’s Bones grow ever bolder, ready to despatch fearless pirates on the Company’s first ever Voyages! Assisting them are some long-buried troops called back into action, and new contraptions that serve their craving for chaos…

Cannon of Rage

Cannon of Rage

Ever seeking ways to dominate the battlefield, the Reapers have turned their sly ingenuity to the Chest of Rage, tapping its power to construct new tools of focused destruction! The Cannon of Rage is portable, deployable and can be fired from wherever you see fit. Just don’t let it overheat…

Fully Portable

Unlike its heavier, ship-bound counterparts, the Cannon of Rage is light enough to be ferried around by hand and deployed wherever it’s needed. Once you’ve finished blasting holes in your target, you can pack it back up and carry it to your next intended scene of destruction.

Can You Handle the Heat?

Though a powerful weapon, the Cannon of Rage carries risk too: every time you fire the cannon or it takes damage, its temperature rises. If it gets too hot without being cooled down using water, it’ll live up to its name and violently explode, blowing holes in any ship it’s perched on.

Search for

Ancient Secrets

The Reaper’s Bones are introducing their first Voyage this Season! In the Search for Ancient Secrets, you’ll be tasked with uncovering a lost crew of skeletons from the fabled Order of Bone and Blade, then working with them to unearth Ancient mechanisms across a chosen island. Along the way, you and your new allies will be confronted by Ancient Phantoms desperate for their lost knowledge to remain hidden – you’ll need to fight your way through them to succeed.

To add a further level of challenge, embarking on a Voyage for The Reaper’s Bones will automatically raise a Reaper’s Mark flag on your ship, announcing your location to anyone keeping an eye on their Map Table. You’ll need to work quickly if you don’t want to be interrupted, and be prepared to defend any loot you don’t want falling into another crew’s hands!

Emergent Skeleton Helpers

Emergent Skeleton Helpers

The Order of Bone and Blade aren’t solely limited to encounters on specific Voyages. While adventuring across the Sea of Thieves, you may stumble across their bony arms sticking up from the ground in all manner of places. Put your shovel to good use in any of those spots, and you can dig up a skeletal soldier ready to do your bidding!

Fighting Friends

There are few things the Order of Bone and Blade love more than a good fight, so once you’ve dug them up, they’ll happily jump into combat on your behalf. Even better, if they get knocked down, you’ll be able to revive them again like any other crewmate! Just beware: their loyalties are fickle and they’ll side with whoever last brought them back…

A Helping Hand

These mercenaries aren’t just handy in battle. They can also help with whatever you need to get done on the island, whether that’s figuring out a tricky treasure map or unearthing buried loot and hauling it back to your ship. As their bones are bound to the island where they were found, the only thing they can’t do is accompany you when you leave!

Breaking Reaper’s Chest Seals

If you’ve ever wondered what’s been locked away in Reaper’s Chests, now’s the time to find out! Pirates in need of a helping hand will be able to break the seal on a Reaper’s Chest to unleash a skeleton crew that can fight to defend their chest and the crew that woke them.

Followers of the Flame Voyage

The second Voyage coming to The Reaper’s Bones sends brave crews in search of a new kind of Reaper’s Chest, with the help of enchanted items to lead the way. This Voyage will also raise a Reaper’s Mark Flag on your ship, so you’ll need to keep an eye out for enemy ships on the horizon…
