Haha i run the same version as everyone else? O_O
Lol well yes, I figured that :P
I guess I asked the way I did to gauge your understanding of double gunning, and also to hint that maybe you don't fully understand the double gunning exploit.
But you seemed to double down. Sooo here we go.
There is an exploit to use doublegun and basically one shot anyone. If you simply shot with one gun, then walk just an inch forward and change weapon then you can instantly shot again... It ain't patched
This is demonstrably false. Even in the video you provided.
There was the double gunning exploit (DGE) that allowed you to instantly shoot a second shot after quick-swapping. This was patched with a hard-coded delay between shots, and all we have left is quick-swapping.
DGE is not quick-swapping. Quick-swapping is not DGE.
Quick-swapping actually requires some practice to consistently pull off. Not to mention that simply being able to ADS with your weapon quicker is harmless, as double-gunners are ultimately only as good as their aim.
Anyway, if you feel that quick-swapping is an exploit in & of itself then that's another conversation we can have; but to say that quick-swapping helps you instantly shoot is just not true. To say that DGE wasn't patched out is just not true.
...we all love sword fights.... except for the doublegunners who call swordfighters for: "Swordlord" hahaha... bunny jumping should be nerfed... it's a stupid mechanic ;P
Hey, I used to love sword fights until they dumbed down the sword mechanics. I used to love sword fights until my block stopped registering. I used to love sword fights when the sword was fun to use. But that's also another discussion.
As for bunny hopping, as others have said, it's pretty useless by itself. So I would agree, it's a stupid mechanic.
But let's go back to your suggestion of:
nerf it so you're getting slower the more you try to bunny jump
Wouldn't this impact players in PvE combat, while fighting hordes of skellies? Or when trying to cover long distances on islands? A change like this would have an impact on QoL outside of PvP situations.
