I have played the game solo more than 90% of the game and became legend pirate last week. There are even no pirate legend equipment or weapons....I never found another crew willing to make the large thrones with me , son not lucky and really sad not to be able to get this title of big thrones. I loved the game but now it's just boring as nothing is done for the solo players. Athena quest solo are really too high difficult and need too much time for very poor rewards. all new events are not going in the way of solo player so the game became more depressing than enjoying for me. All my friends from the beginning have left the game long time already. Rare I think it will be time for me to quit a game I love as you're doing nothing in the good way. it's a broken heart legend pirate telling you his feelings.

@papapokemon62 that’s coz none of the events are designed for solo players. I suppose you got the hero of thrones title but if you want to get the other one you need to be more social.
Not saying you aren’t but it takes a bit of effort to find people willing to do the events. I got lucky since I passed a galleon at the unmarked island so I knew they needed someone to do the thrones with. Doesn’t mean that it was easy. Before them I hopped 3-4 sessions, chatting up crews that only wanted to sink me.
Because there is no linear progression to this game like better weapons or armour, you’re gonna want to do things with other people if you’re planning on completing lots of events in the future. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think solo players should be overlooked, but it’s not like there isn’t things for them to do, they just can’t complete everything they would want since some things are far easier with a crew.
Honestly it’s best to do the events the day it comes out or the first weekend but after that most players have already done them and have moved back to what they where doing before the event try playing with an open crew or just join a galleon also you could join a fleet they have player just gotta find a group for yourself
Sorry to say RARE isn't interested in supporting single player. They made this game to be multiplayer first. Single player was an after thought. Its apparent in all the content they're making and even the base design of the game.
If you are still hungry for pirate games, Blackwake is much cheaper than SoT and is about 100 times more fun (even cheaper right now cause Steam Summer Sale). Ironic given its a game still in Early Access while SoT claims to be a full game.
Join random crews. You will get amazed how many legends you will find. Its getting annoying to be honest lol and you will make new friends!!
I like doing Athenas alone (almost all of it) to see if I can do it faster than with a crew. I just need help with the Souls part (or it takes forever) so thats when I ask a friend to come over.

To be fair, this is a multiplayer game built for people to play with each other. Yes it can be done solo but obviously it’s going to be harder. I’ve played many multiplayer games before and usually try to stay as a solo player, but this hasn’t been the case in Sot. I play with my partner but now have a fair few people we play with that we have only met through playing this game. There are also discord groups you can join to pair with and meet like minded players.
I have played a bit solo and agree though, that order of souls is near on impossible as a solo player. It’s bad enough at Athena level with a full crew :D

The problem isn't that you are a solo player. The problem is you are a PVE player in a PVP game. I solo PVP against sloops and Galleons . It's the best part of this game.
