Private servers

  • You really should make so people can choose if they want other players in the same server as you and your crew. I can't play as it is right now. As soon as I'm out sailing I get hunted down and blown to bits. Some players are also just guarding the outposts and then when you come with chests they kill you and take them. I wanna progress in the game and earn money but as it is now, I can't.

Welcome to the Sea of Thieves.

Some players are also just guarding the outposts and then when you come with chests they kill you and take them.

Yes, they are. But nothing is stopping you from sailing on and visiting any of the other 5 outposts to turn in your loot there.

I wanna progress in the game and earn money but as it is now, I can't.

Yes, you can. If you aren't able to do so solo, then play with randoms or use any of the tools available to find a crew to play with (Discord, forums, Reddit, etc.). Learn how to become better at the game from other players. Next thing you know, you are the pirate soloing a fort and blowing other crews to bits and pieces.

  • It's a learning curve for everyone, but we all sail the same seas.

Unfortunately for you (and some others) RARE have been very upfront about no interest in Safe zones or player segregation, as a private server would exclude you from others it falls under segregation and is thus unlikely to ever happen.

You will evolve into a better pirate for the shared experience. It just takes time

    Stop exaggerating.

  • Imagine asking an option to turn off all the difficulty for board games, college, video games, sports, paying taxes, meeting women, mowing my grass, and just all life in general.

Would life have a purpose? Such existential questions.. SoT forums so deep sometimes. Thank you OP for making me question my existence and making me a better person for it.

  • Comes to shared world
    Wants to play alone.....

  • @siderealmoss32 learn the pvp aspect 1st then level up thats what i did

  • And what? Take the thieves out of Sea of Thieves??

Yes, a game called "Sea." Who wouldn't love to have that?

  • Totally agree with this... I play just to chill and have fun. This afternoon I had a sloop of 2 be all friendly for 2 minutes then kill me and wreck my boat, stealing about 10 skulls... My fault for not cashing them in but still annoying.

  • There will never be private servers, safe zones or anything the like. Though if you were able to migrate into a server with another crew entirely, but still there be other players on the server like any other, I would be okay with that.

On that note, as I wrote that I thought about what if there were missions people could pick up and link with another crew? Multicrew missions where the payout is higher.

  • every since the update for closed crews it takes me hours to find a good crew. For me this has ruined the game because before I could find a boat with at least two good people. Private servers will ruin it for others that dont have a crew or many troll friends like you. do us a favor and quit asking for stuff like this. It ruins it for people that dont have fake friends.

  • I read "Pirate Servers" 🙈🙉🙊

  • progression in this game is like real life. It's all about who you know...

I’d love to have Pirate Servers. Oh, wait...

Not true. I have very few xbox friends, of which I personally know (out of a measly 29, lol). 1 or 2, to be exact. Nearly every other player on my xbox friend's list (sans an additional 3 or 4) I have met through Sea of Thieves.

You can befriend other Pirates on Xbox, using the in-game 'Make Friends' option, which gives the Pirate Salute o7 .

There is the XBox Looking For Group feature! I have joined quite a excellent crews that way, but I'll admit it hasn't been my favorite way of joining up with others either.

There are "fleets" who advertise on these very forums, groups on websites like Reddit, and others! I, personally, found out about this game from a fleet-mate that plays a WoWS (that fleet/clan isn't really present here). Gaming communities are all over the interwebz.

  • I play solo probably 4 hours or more every night and have only had my loot taken twice and that was only because I met someone who out played and got the better of me. Sounds like you need to change your play style. Learn to be sneaky and watch for ships from the crows nest. If you see a galleon ahead, change course and find a safer route. It takes longer and requires a bit of patience but it can be done. If your not prepared to lose your plunder or skilled enough to hold your own in a fight then change your playstyle and be patient and keep your distance! That's my advice to you as a fellow solo player. Adding private servers would just defeat the whole purpose of the game and ruin what sea of thieves has to offer. Dont take the easy way out just adapt and figure out what works for you.

  • @siderealmoss32 Maybe you can't progress in the game because you're not learning from your mistakes? This isn't a progression game where you can just get better gear to make up for your inability to be clever. Your character is already as powerful as it's going to get, now it's up to YOU to actually improve how you play. I can solo, but I'd recommend getting a galleon until you actually know what you're doing.

  • If you really want to make the most gold, join a galleon crew.
Sure your going to see a lot of dysfunctional crews, but you can end up with higher level players that just need some competent help for a short cruise.

  • @siderealmoss32 Playing solo is hard, best bet is to match with a random Galleon or at least try an pair with another person on a Sloop. You will always have a hard time Solo on a Sloop, its just a fact of this game. You can still be lucky, get some treasure, play keep away and run, but you'll risk it when you try to turn in quests.

  • @FearTheBeardIG Please refrain from posts intended to instigate argument from other users, including telling other players to leave the community. All are welcome on the Sea of Thieves, and we ask that all players respect one another in our community. Your post has been removed accordingly.

  • @siderealmoss32 yea it is frustrating when you are solo sailing. After a couple hrs of trying to find a solid crew on a galleon only to end up with that crew of lazy rats that sit on the bow or play their instrument without helping I go on my own. Private servers? No thanks but it would be nice that when I'm solo sailing a sloop I'm not spawned into a world with 5 other sloops in my immediate vicinity.
