SINK MIGRATIONS

  • Why make this new system so convoluted!? JUST SEND SUNKEN PIRATES TO NEW SERVERS ON THEIR FIRST BOAT SINK! It should have been that way from the start, it makes no sense to have a sunken boat come right back at you 5 minutes later, but having to sink them THREE times in a row (without sinking yourself once in the process) before migrating is still dumb and repetitive - you should send them after the first sink - which makes battles actually MEAN something!

  • So if you sunk by silly means say. Random hole you forgot. You be okie with being shipped off to a new server?

Or you lose a hoard of loot because a Skelton ship sunk you? You be okie unable to try to get it back?

I feel players have yet to grasp the issue with being forced to server merge because of a lose or sinking. And this will become a toxic thing in future.

Once players learn about the loophole ;)

  • One sink? That would make playing the game pointless. Part of the game is being able to go back to where you were sunk and fight for your stuff back. "iT mAkEs tHe BaTtLeS aCtUaLlY mEaN sOmEtHiNg" Not really. It makes them worth LESS because there is no real point in fighting a lot of the time. If a decent team spins up a galleon, they could go around and force players off the server repeatedly. Any player doing anything would be sunk and just forced to leave. 3 is perfectly fine. 3 makes your fights actually mean something because you have stakes that aren't just forcing you to lose access to your loot. Sinking makes you lose everything you had, there would be no reason to ever play a smaller ship because galleons and brigs would always bully you off the server. One sink to be migrated is actually beyond stupid and would lead to the PvP focused crew just spamming sinks, server hopping, and letting loot die. Sinking ONCE making you migrate would kill the game faster than any other possible change.

  • Not one sink because imagine it’s you who gets sunk, you were the one doing the event and had loot, they had nothing and just managed to get the upper hand while you were doing your activity. Now you’d have no way of going back to try and get what you had back. Someone sinking you when your guard is a little down doesn’t mean they’d win on the return. So I think definitely don’t merge off the first sink. But I was feeling like it maybe should be brought down to 2 instead of 3. It’s a new mechanic so it might get a bit of fine tuning.

  • I really love back and forth fights, you sink them, they sink you, third ship comes in and you team up. Auto migration would kill this. Same time stomping the same players over and over when trying to do something else is very annoying.

  • That would be too much risk and you'd end up with no one fully committing to fights
