Why not have this as an additional unlock for the head? This would give skeleton players that don't want to use the Obsidian Bones a chance to wear this gorgeous hat on any bone color without it clashing? I know the mesh is a bit different since the head shape is longer, like the other skulls, but a quick edit would fix that. I think Rare is missing an opportunity to allow players to have a really good captain hat for their Skeleton Curse. It can still be tied to the commendation, but the hat itself would be it's own purchase to buy alongside the Obsidian one.

@malfaltto I wanted a version without the eyepatch too, skeletons don't have eyes anyway :P
Rare should introduce a new mechanic, where when you click on a skeleton curse cosmetic you have access to variations of the same skin... This way they could create several skins reusing the same design, this would practically double the number of current options.
