Tribute Peak Temple "A new kind of raid"

  • The Tribute Peak Temple would bring pirates back to the legendary Shores of Gold in an exhilarating raid style adventure. Upon entering, the temple door slams shut behind you, trapping your crew inside. The first room presents a challenge: waves of basic skeletons culminating in a battle against a simple skeleton lord. Once defeated, two doors appear, offering a pivotal choice:

Exit to the Treasure Room: Claim a modest stash of treasure and leave the temple, ending the raid.
Press Onward: Enter a new room where tougher enemies and greater challenges await.
Each successive room increases in difficulty. Skeletons become more diverse and powerful, and bosses grow increasingly challenging. Rooms may include obstacles like parkour segments, traps, and severely limited resources, forcing crews to rely on strategy and teamwork.

If a crewmate dies, they are locked out of the temple for the remainder of the raid. This mechanic emphasizes the importance of reviving teammates and avoiding unnecessary risks. If the entire crew is wiped out, the temple locks, and the raid ends.

For those daring enough to push deeper, the rewards grow more enticing, with rare treasure and exclusive loot waiting at the deepest levels. Completing the temple could unlock commendations, prestigious titles, and unique cosmetics tied to the adventure.

The temple also encourages alliances, allowing multiple crews to work together to survive the escalating challenges. However, betrayal remains a looming risk, especially as the ultimate treasure draws near.

The Tribute Peak Temple offers a high stakes, high reward experience that challenges players combat skills, teamwork, and trust. It’s a daring adventure where only the boldest pirates will claim the greatest riches.

  • Explain how solo players would do this vs crew of four.

  • @burnbacon A solo crew will need exceptional skill and precision to progress beyond the initial rooms. The deeper levels are intentionally grueling, and a single mistake can spell disaster. Solo players should gauge their limits and take the treasure while they can, rather than risk everything in the increasingly punishing depths.

  • @giitterbeard Somebody has been playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle lately.

  • Not a bad idea.

I guess the encounter could scale the threat with crew numbers.
Maybe even scale to player skill (gets harder each time you've completed it) maybe?

But I do like a reason to go back to the Shores of Gold too. Such a waste that many players have never even been there.
