Please change or remove your statements from the ps5-faq

    This is highly unasked for from these statements of yours. I'm of course talking about the PS5 player-only exclusives.

    I hope this message will reach where it will be heard the most.

    At first, I thought it was a joke when I heard it, Rare would never do something like that, but now I see that someone over there thought it was a good idea, somehow.

    All you responsible Rare employees must realize that there's a huge amount of pre-orders on PS5 that are players from other platforms, unknowing of this, blissful people who paid good money not only to play your game on another device but to use the pre-order perks and beta cosmetics freely. They will be playing on the PS5 servers for a while with the new cosmetics that they (paid) for, and when they've had their fun they will return to their platform of choice and will be met with confusion as to why their newly (paid-for) items are not in their game anymore.

    I can understand that it's probably the Sony/PlayStation people who want their exclusives to be truly exclusive, but this will hurt your most hardcore fans, the people who will open their pockets to buy your game again and again, but still they don't do that so that they can start your game up no matter what devices are in front of them, they do that to collect all various items, the in-game history you leave behind, and if they can't have access to those things on every device they please, there will be, complaints.

    If you don't convince Sony/PlayStation to let everyone have access to the items they are owed, then I might have a fix for you.

    Make alternative looks for the guns, different names for the titles, you give the bird a different coloration, and the sails a new symbol perhaps? anything to slightly change the item's look. This will make it so that everyone can have the items but the PlayStation players will see the items as advertised. Meanwhile, the rest of the playerbase will see the alternate look, and most importantly, the rest of the playerbase will feel as if their money wasn't wasted.

    Again, I hope this message will reach where it will be heard the most.

    The reality of the situation is that Sony wants people playing their system and this game on their system.

    They really aren't gonna worry about a small group of SoT veterans that will go through all kinds of wild stuff for cosmetics.

    With how some are about cosmetics in SoT they probably created some ps5 players just because people want to peacock so much.

    Especially the veteran players that have been around quite a while but don't have much of the "cool stuff", some of them will bite on this, the cosmetic game in sot is pretty wild in some groups.

    We all know it was Sony that made this requirement...though...

    We are currently making plans for a unique sail that will be available to all players during the PlayStation 5 launch period. This sail will commemorate the coming together of pirates across all platforms – stay tuned for further details!

    It'll be funny when this ends up being just a recolor of the sails we can't get to spite Sony lol

I feel disappointed that they just didnt care about xbox i mean the feature preview was just disrespectful im talking about the skull and bones argument considering that skull and bones is on ps5 it was suspicious of Rare to just put sot on there but there treating the ps5 edition like it was made on ps5 I hope xbox get these new features im not saying that as the new sot community for ps5 is bad but at least treat them the same as xbox players please because giving ps5 so much just makes me fear xbox players might feel like there not cared for.

    What about the PC/Steam & Xbox Exclusives? Poor PS5 players wont be getting any of those :(

    I feel like players here are Very new to the whole "exclusives" to video game platforms...

    I never understand. Why switch platforms? Just to get digital cosmetics. Is it Greed? Pride? Show off you bought the Game TWICE just for a small tiny cosmetics that will reappear in game under a new name.

    So there are people who buy the game...more than once....just to do what? Those people I call "Silly" and just trying to appear better than others because they "support" the game by purchasing it more times.

    Very doubtful that it is rares choice, and if it is sony making the call, they likely wont change their stance even if rare tries to convince them.

    The amount of people salty they can't get a cosmetic is kind of sad.
    And I bet these same people would not have said "It's not fair to PS5 players if I get a cosmetic they can't!" if it was xbox/PC exclusive, and thus they had the ability to get it.
