Ok, so after 2+ years in the game, I accept some things I may never get to see, no matter what I do.
I have yet to see, or know anyone who has seen the Shrouded Ghost or Box of Wondrous Secrets.
Or a Piece of Treacherous Plunder (kind of a joke, but I've never seen one all the same)
Any chance pirate legends, or even Lvl20 Athena's, could potentially get a rare or one-off voyage for purchase, similar to the Gilded Voyage, to get a chance at seeing some of these rarer parts of the game?
no real point of having something like a ghost or box of secrets in the game if it's going to be made easier in any way
they are fuel for campfire tales and give people something to always look forward to
a lottery with no cost
with that being said the rng should remain consistent so imo meg spawns should be returned to how they used to be before the unintentional/intentional change to the rng because the current meg spawn rate is terrible for shrouded hunts and just the environment in general imo as someone that enjoys the pve spawns
before a person could easily spend the time to spawn a few+ a day which was a consistent way to work towards a shrouded
now a person can go days without 1 which is devastating to a shrouded hunt
I found the Box of Wondrous Secrets once. I have yet to see the shrouded ghost. Personally there should NOT be any commendation or cosmetic for finding them.
It bothers me because I can’t complete the shrouded spoils tab on the Bilges Rats because I’m unlucky. The shrouded ghost was never meant to be this rare. It was a programming glitch and Rare kept it rare. The ammo crates were rarer then the shrouded ghost when it was first released but Rare fixed it

I don't think a voyage should be added to increase the chances. Running into these rare items and encounters randomly is extremely fun. I've been playing the game for about 2.5 years and I've killed the Shrouded, turned in the Wonderous Secrets, and found a few pieces of Treacherous Plunder. It's just rng, but it's what makes this game fun. You never know when you'll come across a rare item or encounter. If they made it easier to get, it wouldn't be as exciting. Everyone would have the commendation unlocked and it would be another forgotten title in the vanity chest. Whenever I hear the meg music start to play, my crew and I run to the back of our ship to see what it is. It's just fun to have that type of rare event in the game.

The shrouded ghost, Box of Wonderous Secrets and Treacherous Plunder DO exist and you could still chance upon seeing one.
Treacherous Plunder in particular. It is easier to find then the Box or Ghost, and IS something you could actually spend a day working on farming and fishing up. One way to get them is to fish for pondies. It seems to catch on the hook more frequently when pondie fishing then with other fish. Good places to try to fish them up are also the smaller ponds that are -just- big enough to spawn a pondie. It is best if done with others so there is a higher chance and frequency of fishing them up.
As for the ghost, you could still find it. I know a few who have chanced upon them (once while in the waters headed towards the shores of gold!)... It kind of feeds to the 'tall fish tales' and of sailors saying they saw some rare fish and people not believing them. It's amusing for a sailing game.
The Box of Secrets can be tough to find but several have found one and posted images of it. It isn't something that one can just go hunting for, but they exist and so long as you are playing you could still find one. Just have to hope to chance upon it on a new server before someone else does. Thankfully there is no achievement attached to it either, so the reward is simply having been able to stumble upon one.
Treacherous plunder is easy go fish in a pond on shores of gold.
Box of wondrous secrets is just shear luck. I found mine chasing a ship in the fog. We crashed into a island and my friend goes " I found the box" we all shrugged it off. He then emerged from fog carrying it lol
Shrouded ghost I got at around the 1200 meg encounter took 3.5 years for me so idk.
