Option To Disable Tutorial Notifications/Messages

    Give us the option to disable the tutorial notifications/messages. Or if it does already exist make it more obvious (not me or any of my friends could find anything like that).

    Why? Well maybe a friend already taught you, or you did some thorough research beforehand, or you already played the game somewhere else (perhaps at a friend). Or perhaps you're just good at figuring things out for your own and don't want or need the tutorials. And since the tutorial notifications seem to stick there until you follow through and do what it wants you to, having the option to disable it if you want would help it be less annoying.

    You can already disable it (it's in the settings). I thought maybe you did your research beforehand. 🙄

    In any case, even when on, the tutorial popups slowly go away as you perform more actions. For example, you might see a tool tip the 1st time you use a fishing rod, but once you go fishing, you will never see it again. Every once in a while, you might see a new 1 as newer features are added (I've been sailing 5 years and still got the quest board tutorial popup the other day), but they too go away with time.

    So, nothing to really worry about! 😁

    @galactic-geek whereabouts in the settings is it? Just looked through all of them on the main menu and it doesn't seem to be there for me...

    unless I've missed it of couse.

    I have tried searching the settings and I've googled some, but I cannot find any option to prevent these tutorial messages/notifications from appearing in the first place. The only things I can find on the internet related to this are people asking how to do it and other people replying to them that the messages go away on their own or as you follow their instructions or whatever - I couldn't find where anyone tells you how to disable them and prevent them from appearing at all...?

    I found the quickest way to disable them is simply do them.

    It something to do for about 30 seconds

    The issue to everyone saying "just do them" is the ones where it forces you to do a gold hoarder voyage (which isn't quite as simple as just doing it). It comes back every time you visit an outpost etc and just gets annoying.

    And just to add, this is another example of one of those things where the existence of a workaround (doing them) doesn't make this necessarily a bad idea.

    I can't actually tell you where it is, since I myself haven't yet acclimated to the new settings arrangement that Rare changed recently. In other words, things aren't where they were. 😅

    That said, I'd be genuinely surprised if they removed it entirely.

    I looked for it as well. I've been open crewing for about 6 months and yea....you run into it about 1 in every 5 sessions and it's brutal cause the banners will NOT go away and I looked all through the settings!

    @galactic-geek all I'm saying is I'm like 92% sure you're wrong on this one... I don't see it in settings, the other people in this thread don't see it and I don't see any mention of it elsewhere online. Feel free to prove me wrong though.

    @decoded-jack a couple of things here:

    1 you put a post in a thread that hasnt seem any action in over a year, this is against forum rules and is considered necroïng a thread, any post with no action in over 30 days should be considered closed.

    2 @Galactic-Geek will not be able to answer you anymore as he has since been banned from the forums
