Gift Giving Commendations

    The gift-giving commendations in this game are frankly incredibly tedious and near impossible to finish.

    The sad part is fixing this problem would be incredibly simple of Rare's part being that

    1. Bring back the gift mercenary voyages they have not been in the game since 2019 which is ridiculous and they should really make a return this year.

    2. Let players turn them into any emissary (minus Athena of course) like mermaid gems

    This commendation now is incredibly tedious and just a bad experience in the game for those of us trying to finish up our commendations.

    Plus the idea of giving gifts to other crews seems like a lot of fun and in the holiday spirit!

    I’m still working towards them. I believe I have 10/30 Humble and only 2/30 for Generous.

    I used to leave them at the Hideout, but people don’t cash them in. I’ve found heading straight into Reaper’s ships and letting them sink me and steal them ensures they are sold- but they’re still few and far between when actually finding/ digging them up- I’d like to see more of them in the world.

    You gonna have to grind out those regular forts for gifts and take out some roaming skeleton Captain as they have a chance to give you gifts until the annual Festival of Giving where you can buy the voyage to get all the gift of your desire

    IIRC, the (time limited) voyages that give chest of rage and a flame skull also give gifts. We did two in The Roar last week and got 8 of them or so.

    They did in the form of Stash of Powder and Arms voyages. They had 3 small islands from which two had 2 x-marks each and the third one had three. Each x-mark gave a gift or gunpowder barrel (PL ones gave Athena's kegs). Second and last chapter had four x-marks on one big island. The final rewards were windskull, chest of rage and 2x friebomb crates.

    I had saved mine and did them last weekend. Total gift pool from 4 voyages was... around 13-15 Humble gifts and 3 Generous gifts (with average of 3,75-4,5 gifts per voyage).

    You could grind these quite easily as only the first three isles stash any gifts and end up completing one in 20-30min.

    @limend that the voyage I remember doing last year, will certainly have some fun grinding them and getting plenty of ashen wind skull,
    Finger crossed they are coming back this year

    @butterfinger750 I don’t need to keep my fingers crossed. I still have all three from last year!
    It’s crazy that some people probably still have the 2019 voyages. A few months back, I joined an open crew doing one. Netted a decent amount, especially since they’re few and far between these days.
