Move the support system ingame

  • I dont like the support site because it's overly complicated and hard to navigate. Also you have to sign in twice sometimes while on the support page and its just very messy overall. Therefore, I think the support system should be moved to in-game so you can make support requests there. @RareCSM thoughts since you are customer support manage r?

The current system is actually more beneficial unfortunately and I hope they leave it as is.

This keeps knee jerk emotional reports down. Lots of reports come from players who run into other palyers that are significantly better and cry hacks or the ones who get attacked "while doing nothing" and cry greifing or harassment.

If a player thinks to themselves "its not worth doing all that work to report this" then that is a very very good system because it means that it really isn't worth reporting.

  • No, that is not a good system. We should encourage reporting.

We definitely need an in-game report solution.

While I largely agree with your assessment, I often don't report on smaller issues that I find because I feel like I'm being punished for helping with how extensive the process is. This is possibly true for others as well, so many things might go unreported and unfixed as a result.

For example, you can find a piece of floating grass up high behind Ancient Spire Outpost that you can stand on, even though there is no ground beneath it. I mentioned this here on the forum months ago, but didn't actually report it. I learned from another pirate recently that it's still there.

Why should the game remain broken if the reporting system incentivizes you to not report?

While it may be true that the system could be abused, that shouldn't be a reason make it harder to report - if the internal bones of their system is robust enough, it'll be relatively easy for them to determine what is and isn't a false report.

It is my opinion that reporting issues should be made easier; reporting pirates, however, should be significantly harder.
