Hello, I've been playing SoT since realise and have thought of a few ideas I'd like to share with you all. If by any chance you agree with me then don't hesitate to say so.
First things first, many people have long awaited for the Man O War ship, a large vessel consisting of more than 100 people to man. I think that there should be a smaller version of a Man O War. Say a 6-8 player crew sized ship, 4 cannons at each side on top deck, 4 cannons at each side on 2nd deck (cannon barrels in centre maybe), 3rd deck has storage things inside it and 4th deck has all your inventory things like clothing etc.
Secondly, for those of you who have watched Pirates Of The Carribean you would have seen that at some point there was a whirlpool where the Dutchman and the Pearl went in circles unloading cannon fire at eachother. I think it would be nice to have this in the game on the map somewhere. A medium sized whirlpool where 2 ships at a time can drive around it in circles and fire at eachother using cannonballs. Whichever ship fails will drop into the depths of the water whilst the winner safely gets out. As a reward system you could maybe get a few barrels filled with food and planks etc to stock back up.
Third and final suggestion I have is more weapons. As there are only 6 current forms of weapons in game (Sword, Blunderbuss, Eye Of Reach, Pistol, Cannons and Kegs) I feel like there are so much more that could potentionally be added to the game from back in those pirate days, for example balistas and crossbows etc. Balistas could be used like how skeletons use cannon balls on land. Maybe a new castle fortress would be nice where there are human A.I's guarding it with balistas and bows etc. Inside of which once defeated there is mounts of treasure for you to take! The way you would defeat them is by hanging out in the ocean and firing your cannons at the walls etc and taking out balistas 1 by 1. Then once your no longer under fire you could target the large steel gate protecting the docks as to which the castle shall lay there with people inside that will try and vanquish you. Once dealt with you will get a key to the treasure room and you shall have a lot of treasure for the taking. Just like a Fort Of The Dammned is an upgraded Skullfort, this is an upgraded FOTD but it's also more Human-ized.
