I've noticed that whenever you enable text chat on console, that a dialogue box appears that enables you to use it. However, after I type a message, the dialogue box for the text never goes away - the ominous and empty, black dialogue box just sits there in the upper left corner of my screen taunting me. I've been trying to figure this out for months (no joke), and finally figured it out. It never went away, because I had the bad habit of pressing B to cancel, or back out, like you do with pretty much everything else in the game. I figured it out because a friend recommended that I press the back button instead. I did, and it disappeared.
So my question is this: why doesn't the text chat dialogue box also disappear when pressing B? I think that this would be a small, but a very much needed QoL adjustment.
EDIT: I also noticed it does this for all other menus in the game - pressing back kicks you right out, whereas pressing B only backs you out to the previous menu. Does this have something to do with it?
