You mean the new content that was already in-game and left out for future content?

You act like they are charging for this content, but they aren't. As an IT guy myself, I understand and appreciate the desire to fix bugs before releasing content.

They cut a bunch of cosmetics for both players and ships out of the alpha/beta and it Still isn't in the damn game, despite being used in their damn advertising and Twitter posts.

If it's a used car they are "as is" meaning you are stuck with it. You can complain all you want, but it is what it is. NOBODY forced you to buy this, and it states pretty clearly when you are buying a digital game that there are NO REFUNDS and NO RETURNS. But that is all hidden in plain English so I can understand how it is over looked. If you bought a physical copy than you have courses of action. You can run down to GameStop (EB games if you are in Canada) and sell it. This might make sense because you will get some money back. You are comparing a couple thousand dollar car vs a $60 game....kinda hard to compare a basketball to a golf ball don't you think?

I didn't pay no $80 for this game, that would be downright foolish. But for $60 I feel pretty good about this.

The point about developing your own game is to put this into perspective. Truth be told, unless you have a team, there is no way you will have anything of any quality in that amount of time. But for someone with no comprehension on what it takes to make a game like this, then have it gain a following much larger than expected, and then support it after release....to complain and act like they are owed something is indeed asinine.

Oh...forum rules say you can't resort to name calling. Yet another thing hidden in plain sight and easily overlooked.

It's clear you don't understand development and that's ok. I barely do. But I do know that there is a lot to this. Takes a lot of time to develop this stuff. If they withheld something I can assure you it was for a reason and that reason is NOT so they can release it later as "bonus content". If I am proven wrong, so be it. But I would find that unlikely.

So critique away, just know it holds little value.

I found the roadmap informative, and I am very appreciative of it. Looking forward to the content in May. Thank you Rare... OP not so much.

@trenix90 it's not worth it dude. These people here are like as thick as playstation fanboys. Its hard to believe because majority of them are grown men. What's worse than what Rare is doing are the trolls going in the section of the forum that is for complaints/suggestions and calling everybody whiners. Its pathetic and will damage the game. There is rarely or never a person here who wants to change somebody else's mind or brings up good opposing points and without being condescending. Don't waste your energy or time.

This is why I don't miss Steam.

In case Rare or some fans didn't notice, all I ask is for you to TELL US exactly what you're giving us. I think it's completely fair since we paid for your service. You want to work with the community, it's probably a good idea to first tell us what you're doing, before we get something we never wanted. Don't forget, we didn't want 4-man sloops and we didn't want to be charged upon deaths.

I mean it's nice you're doing Rare's job, but it still provides nothing. New item? What is the item? New AI threat? What does that even mean? Events, what events? All of this means nothing. This is NOT a roadmap as much as you want to convince yourself to believe it is. This is the garbage that Rare was keeping from us for weeks? Ridiculous. Mind as well say "New content is coming", well I sure hope so. I mean they're suffocating what's left of their game. Hope you're all happy.

This guy has been complaining since before the game launched.

And was proved right when the game launched. I was the one saying the whole time that very little content was being held back upon release. Go look me up. The game lost so many players already, surprised none of you care. You think the game will survive when the playerbase tanked? A good amount of players tried the game and said they would never purchase this game because of the lack of content and the money it asked for. No logic.

How many players left? Exactly how many? You don't have enough have access to those numbers, so we know you're completely making it up. Sure, a few whiners left because the game wasn't exactly what they wanted it to be, but in my experience the vast majority of players are still happy with the game and I'd bet there are more people playing now than 3 weeks ago at launch, and this roadmap was great. No game gives away specific details in a roadmap. That would spoil the surprise of it. You are just the kind of person who can't be satisfied without being spoon fed information. Do everyone a favor and just go play a different game.

The roadmap was an exploit!
