This idea is 100% likely to plop like my others, but here it goes.
A system where PVP and PVE players can coexist.
Like PVE Players can affect/ drop prices for PVP items depending how much treasure they bring in and if they continuously contribute it to one Outpost. Ex. PVE players keep bringing in treasure to Port Merrik until the PVP item prices are lowered to the max allowed, then if the PVE chooses to go to another Outpost and repeat the process.
There can even be escort missions where PVP players team up with PVE to protect them from other PVP players instead of skeleton ships while doing Smuggler's Route with the value of the cargo being higher than if it was just PVE.
PVP players would not be able to damage PVE players and vice versa, with PVE only needing to worry about NPC enemies For Burning Blade they can wipe out the NPC enemies but can't take control of the ship unless they agree to automatically switch to PVP. If PVE want to switch to PVE or PVP to PVE they would only be able to do so after a great length of time to prevent misuse of the system.
