Hey guys! I'm here to write a bit more about how some gold multipliers were wrongly applied in this Community Day. This happened exclusively when selling items at Gold Rush Hour and the Community Day multiplier was also up.
So, the multiplier were the following: 3.5x more gold from the event and 1.5x more gold from the Gold Rush Hour. These multiplier together always worked fine in Gold and Glory weekends (which is 2x, not 3.5x), but I had a problem in this event specifically: When selling some high value items, I didn't receive the amount I should.
When selling a 1k gem, I received 5.2k gold. This one is fine, since 13.51.5 = 5.2. But when selling a 10k item, like the Ashen Winds Skull, Gold Reaper Chest or even buying 10k gold from Larinna, I received 45k gold. This one is strange. For some specific reason I was not receiving 52k gold on high value items, but for low value items the multiplier was being correctly applied.
My guess at what is possibly happening: There is a coded limit on how much gold you can earn from a single item, which is 45k gold. This is probably coded to avoid possible bugs. At no point in the past Rare imagined that they would be giving more that 45k gold in a single item being sold, but now that the gold multiplier reached a new record, this should be possible (but currently is not).
At the end, me and my friends ended up losing more than 200k gold that we should have earned, most of it from buying gold from Larinna, but also happened every time we sold 10k items.
