The thing i love the most about this game is the immersive feeling it gives.
You really feel like a pirate, snowy islands on christmas etc would kill that.But i do agree that holiday events could be a fun thing, but let em focus on adding the base mechanics first.

@toffeldjuret it doesn’t have to be snow filled islands but maybe an exclusive holiday island for the holidays that represents that particular holiday at the time and some holidays items and ship decors as well and skeleton Santa 😱

I do like the idea of seasonal events, but they need to keep it small.
Id be ok with a new vendor selling christmas gear for example.
Maybe small eggs to collect and buy gear for on all islands during easter and stuff as that.
But if they overkill its gonna break the immersive feeling.I am from an island and we celebrate Christmas too... There is no snow, but there are lighting, fireworks, music and parties. I don't see how this cannot be on SoT holiday seasons honestly.
You can change the music of the Tavern depending on the season. That could be awesome, or even some fireworks coming from the Outposts of the world.
In the "Behind the Scenes" video on Live events (YouTube link here) they mention doing seasonal/holiday events.
It would be cool to do a scavenger hunt for Halloween like getting different pirate skeleton bones and bringing them back to your ship. Then once all the parts are gathered together you must sail into a storm. The goal is to get your ship struck by lightning and revive the Frankenstein like skeleton you created.
