The thing i love the most about this game is the immersive feeling it gives.
You really feel like a pirate, snowy islands on christmas etc would kill that.

But i do agree that holiday events could be a fun thing, but let em focus on adding the base mechanics first.

If you play World of Warships or World Of Tanks you have seen holiday changes that last just through that holiday. Adds a fun touch to the game. Festive.

@wevuss yeah i wasnt clear enough in my post.
I do like the idea of seasonal events, but they need to keep it small.
Id be ok with a new vendor selling christmas gear for example.
Maybe small eggs to collect and buy gear for on all islands during easter and stuff as that.
But if they overkill its gonna break the immersive feeling.

It sounds like a good way to keep me interested and get in the holiday spirit. Like someone suggested maybe just a single island for the event as to try and keep the game immersive.

I am from an island and we celebrate Christmas too... There is no snow, but there are lighting, fireworks, music and parties. I don't see how this cannot be on SoT holiday seasons honestly.

You can change the music of the Tavern depending on the season. That could be awesome, or even some fireworks coming from the Outposts of the world.

In the "Behind the Scenes" video on Live events (YouTube link here) they mention doing seasonal/holiday events.
