Ok I know it sounds crazy but its cool (well from my point of view).
50 ships vs 50 ships in an EPIC SHIP BATTLE WHERE ONLY ONE SIDE WILL RISE VICTORIOUS. Frenetic!!!
Presicion with your weapons and hability to infiltrate other ships are your main allies for victory although comunication is most likely the key to success.
As long as your ship is floating you are able to respawn there, when your ship sinks you become unable to respawn for the rest of the match. So you will have to be alert on repairing holes and emptying your ship from water during thw fight.
It ends when all ships on one side are sunk and all players dead.
I know it doesnt contrast very well with Sea of Thieves concept but it would be another unique multiplayer experience. Maybe rewards for winners
Oh by the way please give us some split screen i want to show my friends how good is it.
Battle Mode
I normally was always against some sort of pvp/battle mode, but now, about 80 to 90% of people lately just scuttle. So im all in for a battle mode. Maybe not 50 vs 50, no way these servers could handle it, but maybe a condensed version of the map with more ships. Idk, all i know is there are a ton of wimps now in this game.
@kunz-redfield Sorry no. Doesn’t really look like their servers could handle that. And all the trolling and team killing? No thanks.

he's not suggesting battle royale, he's suggesting something along the lines of CS:GO or Raibow6 Siege.50v50 would be too much but smaller numbers may work, maybe add it into a point value.
20 point value match where Galleons worth 5 points, Brigantines worth 3, and Sloops worth 1, this way you can't have more than 4 Galleons, but you can have 3 Galleons and 1 Brigantine and 2 Sloops in 1 team... and the other team can have 6 brigantines and 2 slopps....obviously i pulled the numbers out of my a*s, but Rare can pay someone to figure balanced numbers.
I used to be a firm believer that SoT should remain an open world pvpve game, but seeing where this game is heading, I think "game modes" is what this game needs to survive in the long term.

today i learned that counter strike and rainbow 6 siege is a battle royale game...
