Nothing new no new content etc just bug fixes they said it would take a few more days to do a proper compressed patch and they wanted to get the fixes out ASAP so they did it this way..... to be honest they should of take the extra few days this will just annoy people having to download the whole client again for nothing...

For me the worry was not the size (I can download it under 30min) but the fact of full redownload itself. It's just a sign that their pipeline is not built for producing patches automatically (which should be part of default CI loop in 2018) and require extra work.
But let's give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they just had to repack the textures (they say something about performance improvements after all) or something like that which makes patch almost meaningless and it's just the guy who wrote the patch notes did not know what he is writing about.

Of course they do. They just either live in an area where the internet is very slow, think the countryside or in an under developed country. A lot of people also have caps on downloads. I'd suggest a bit of research before you make such stupid statements.

19.56GB = 20029.44MB
20029.44MB / 2MB/s = 10014.22s
10014.22 / 60 = 166.90min
166.90min / 60 = 2.78hours, so you are part right...Though you assume there that this will be a steady 2mb/s download, which it wont be. My connection is supposedly 36mb/s, but my Xbox can fluctuate between 5mb/s and 40mb/s depending on the time of day and strain on the bandwidth in the house, at the cabinet, at the exchange and of course on the XBOX and SoT client download servers.
what you're also wrong about is judging people's internet. But other folk have offered their opinions on this. Look up the digital divide and look up the various petitions to improve superfast availability across the country (UK).
I'm on mobile broadband and at £1/Gb, whole client updates throughout the alpha and beta have cost me far more than I paid for the game. 18Gb twice in one month out of a 100Gb allowance is crucifying me. Patching game clients is a basic requirement that Rare never bothered with.
I hope they're true to their word and this is the last full client download we see.

They said that the only reason they went for a client release was that it saved us all a few days of bugs. I would hope with it there in black and white that they wouldn't go back on their word.@d-muhny
but anyway you did not answer your question, saying only "you need a new connection" ... would this be a decent answer? ty to all for answers! if a re-download of client is better for fix client problems, ok, but i hope that will be the last time and that will not be useful for the next updates.Some people like me are not lucky to get a decent internet connection, and no because we can't afford or we can't change provider, just doesn't reach us. I have a 10Mb/s (1.2MB/s more or less) and i have to download the game twice, one on pc (19gb) and on xbox one s (9gb) and on top of that the winstore decided that my download speed can't be faster then 3Mb/s!!! I will be lucky if i will be done for the evening, and today is my day off from work. Me and my son planned to play a bit in the afternoon when the maintenance will be over but we will not be done with the download. Well, next time will be better i guess 😔
