@guildar9194 "You're acting like the rules as you want to interpret them is the same vague way a mod working for Rare would.
Rare mods have a very comprehensive list of what they can and cannot suspend or ban for."
Agreed.
However I still think Player B would get banned because people are ultra sensitive these days. All it would take really is Player B to continuously follow Player A and sink them repeatedly. I mean it falls within the game rules as ok because that is what the game is really about. However it can also be thought of as harassment.
Read the Code of Conduct:
Repeated activity designed to ruin the experience of another player or crew constitutes harassment. Not only do we take these things very seriously, many law enforcement agencies recognise online abuse as an offence. If necessary, we will report incidents to the relevant authorities to take further action.
So perhaps instead of a 3 point ban, just make it so player B has a duration to wait before sinking the same ship over again. Problem solved.
That would be very difficult to put in the game; if Player A returns to the vicinity of Player B, I'd think Player B is in their right to sink them again; and can be abused if the coding is just a bit off its actual purpose.
They currently haven't even bothered with not having a close-by respawn for the Siren Song for people who just have the quest on but don't actually do the quest (or are fighting other crews not doing the quest). I doubt they'll put in the effort to include something that comes clsoe to what you propose.
You do realise you keep moving goalposts with almost every post you made in this topic: first it's about language, then it goes on about behaviour and then its repeated behaviour.
