Obsidian banjo and capstan

There are other ways to access this info, but rare wants to give the more “rare” cosmetics who follow the game closer than the average player. So if u followed the game as much has the average player back then, then bad luck. Also rare gives one obsidian capstan every month.

The capstan and also the six pack can be earned by winning in an Capture a code contest hosted by @lizalaroo on this forum under official contest.
The obsidian banjo my biggest regret by not obtaining it due to my lack of knowledge of it existence at the time, I do hope it will come back this year.

I doubt theses certain item will be in drops as I believe rare would use these to semi promote their game such as the capstan which is commonly used as a reward by winning various contest while the banjo is used as Promotional Thing like buying sot related merch (which I missed the chance to get it D: )

@lou-enderdragon and how the hell does she realistically expect me to stop in the middle of a play session, log onto this website from my TV and send it?? It was underhanded how Rare did it with the capstan and its still underhanded and they need to fix it.

They usually give away 9 codes for the 6-pack. 3 codes, 3 times during the stream. There are other Partnered streamers and content creators who also give away 6-pack codes from time to time.

And, as pointed out already, there's a screenshot competition every week by lizalaroo for the 6-pack and the Capstan (that's how I got mine).

I got the Obsidian Banjo when it was available but I wouldn't object to them making it available in a similar way again.

You don't need to stop in the middle of a play session, it's not something you have to post immediately.

@realstyli Don'r forget codes given by creators. Few days ago was waiting for falcores newest videos preview. He gave away at least 3, 6-pack codes

@hrubixcube that not my problem that something you probably have to figure out yourself sadly but you don’t have to leave mid session if you have an phone which has access to all your games screenshot.

I’m sure if you ask her nicely, she will probably maybe be able to help you get your entries in depending on what device you use to send her your image for her to put it on here for you.

As I mentioned:

1. sending a screenshot for the contest is way easier for PC players than console, and takes us longer to do such, because this site becomes harder to navigate and takes longer using a controller

2. I've entered so many contests for the capstan and never won a single one, so its a bit unfair really

3. why can't rare just admit that doing this was underhanded and fix it?

Obsidian Six Packs are always being given away from SOT Official Streams as well as Content Creators. I think I've given out 15 Obsidian Six Pack Codes over the past few months.

Also, I am a NAL Partner (Notorious Arena League) and There is ALWAYS Giveaways to win a Capstan almost every single time they run an Event.

I got my capstan and six pack through lizalroo's thing. Those screenshot competition's are a ton of fun, just take a few hours out of your day to put some effort into taking a great screenshot. Even if you dont win, just taking the screenshot is a lot of fun. :)

You are way that you are supposed to do this while you aren’t playing right? You save your picture via Xbox app and submit it through your phone. It’s really not complicated.
