How long did you play before you saw the shrouded ghost or an ancient skeleton?

@t1cklebudd1es I've had 10 ancient skeletons but no ghost meg.

Had my first Ancient Skeleton two weeks ago, after a year of playing. No Shrouded Ghost yet.

10??? How? I have heard some say "inactive forts" are the best place to find them, but I doubt that's consistent.

I’ve had about 8 ancient skeletons (one got away cuz I had no ammo). No ghosts yet :(

17 ancient skeletons, 10 in arena whilst grinding triumphant seadog. 3 on thieves haven runs, 2 on cursewater shores, 1 on devil's ridge, 1 on keel haul fortress.

Almost 21 Million Meters sailed...

I am in awe of your record keeping diligence!

For me around 5-6 Ancient skeletons, 0 shrouded Meg... lots of miles sailed...

I play also from day 1 and havent seen none of those 2 yet :D But I dont play too often. After the introduction of monthly updates I always played only so frequently to experience all new content (doing quests, buying all new doubloon items)

@archangel-timmy hold up. How'd you get these stats? You keep track of them manually? I've been looking for a SoT stat tracker...

I have never seen an Ancient Skeleton, but have had crewmates encounter them two or three times. The last one was met by a new player who we were still teaching the ropes to. He said suddenly "I just killed a skeleton with a backpack!?"

Crewmates also found the Box of Mysterious Secrets (in the Devil's Roar) one day, when I was AFK; but I have never encountered the Shrouded Ghost.

@t1cklebudd1es I have a file where I track random things, the Ancient Skeletons being one of them.

Would be awesome if there were some sort of integrated tracker that we could utilize though.

About 10 skellys on random islands and one found playing arena. Only one shrouded ghost kill a year and some moths ago. Day one player

I've found two ancient skellies, first about three weeks after they were added, the second a few months ago. Both were found on Lone Cove, interestingly enough. I think Lone Cove is where my crew often winds-up when doing either Athenas or rowing around.

@t1cklebudd1es Shrouded Ghost? What's that? Never heard of it... IF such a thing actually existed, I'm sure I'd have seen one by now. Must be a hoax.

Ancient Skeletons - 2 or 3, maybe 4. Seen a couple since the update. Like 2 maybe. Can't remember how many I saw before that but it was more than one, I think.

No ghost yet.... But I’ve seen a total of 4 ancient skeletons. One being the first day they released them.

A couple of the Ancient Skeletons, but no shrouded ghosts. Been playing for a bit after launch.

Sailed a bunch. Did some stuff. Most of it solo.

@archangel-timmy agreed. Maybe Rare has something in the works.....

I've been really unlucky with both of these, I haven't seen either, I've been playing since launch as well (however I did have a break for several months)

Hopefully the sea gods will favor me soon!

When I see people talking about 4, 5, 6 ... 10+ AC, I'm jealous.
I've met only one AC two weeks ago and I even recorded it (It didn't recorded my mic but I was shouting to my friend "KILL IT KILL IT KILL IT")

As for the shrouded ghost... I'm still waiting for him.

I have lost count on Ancient Skellies, but around 15 if I would guess. Only a single one above 200+ coins. Rest usually around 120. No shrouded yet tho.

If you feel bad about not finding one, imagine this:

30sec later The Ancient Queen (Purple) appeared in the same spot, after 1 minute he despawned and The Hungering One(blue) appeared, despawned after 15-30s. Big F.

Loosing the rarest thing in the game because of a bug feels really bad.

I probably have 2k+ hours on SoT, have killed ancient skelly 6 times give or take and I just killed the Shrouded Ghost today!

@t1cklebudd1es since closed beta. Shrouded ghost is an urban legend

I did an island adventure, fished, cooked, and generally just plaued around on smugglers bay and at the end of 5 hours i had 8 or so spawn on me.

I think im somewhere around 20/high teens

Still no shrouded ghost

@limbicfanatic Software Engineer, but I only started this out of curiosity after getting the first two within an hour of each other while fishing.

I do have a couple more to add to my list as well.
