2 ancient skeletons
0 Shrouded Ghost (and I spent hours +++ of game time in fog looking for it.)

4 ancient and stole a Ghost Meg from someone but havent had one spawn on myself.

Around half a dozen ancient skeletons; first one was months after they started to appear.

Shrouded ghost ? Ask me again in a year or two.

Day 1 player. 24 million miles - no shrouded ghost. Have killed 50 of all other megs. It would be great if the spawn rate was increased based on the number of miles sailed as a reward for playing.

Short story if you want:

I quit an mmorpg because of having endless progressin with diminshing returns, to find out the "diminishing" returns still give you a lot of power (here we are with the power gap ;)
I am somewhat of an ambitious casual player. So some weeks its less than 10 hours, but sometimes it is also more than 20 or even 30 hours in a week.
I'm playing video games for 35 years, my first was pre C64.
I allways wanted an online RPG like game without any levels and horizontal progression, but only fluff aka cosmetics.
A friend told me about SoT in 2017, i tried to get into the Alpha Stress Tests and were lucky.
I became a founder, i also was lucky in the beginning and won the ebony flintlock and EoR from community lottery.
It was just luck all the time.
And believe me, there is a lot of stuff i'm unlucky with - look briefely to his sidecarmoto rolleyes.

My believe is: You need not be efficient, but accept every detour and turn in even a foul skull, because we have a saying here and i dont know if an english equivalent exists.
Those who do not apreciate a penny arent worth the dime.

You know everybody is refusing to deliver the cargo on Athena runs?
I insisted to deliver, although it was a detour and not a short one.
You know what we met on the Detour?
The Shrouded Ghost between Dagger Tooth and Shiprecked Bay.

If you see it you wont ask you the question anymore and be unsure if it is the Shrouded or not, you will know it is.
Sadly the fight was too easy, i'd wish it would be a harder encounter!!!

@t1cklebudd1es I saw the ancient skeleton maybe a week after they were put in the game - still have never seen the shrouded ghost. Day 1 player too

@limbicfanatic Software Engineer, but I only started this out of curiosity after getting the first two within an hour of each other while fishing.

Founder here, 3-4 Ancient Skellys killed! No Shrouded Ghost! No Box of Wonderous Secrets! Never Seen an Rare Crew Sailing!

I did an island adventure, fished, cooked, and generally just plaued around on smugglers bay and at the end of 5 hours i had 8 or so spawn on me.

I think im somewhere around 20/high teens

Still no shrouded ghost

I probably have 2k+ hours on SoT, have killed ancient skelly 6 times give or take and I just killed the Shrouded Ghost today!

Ghost Meg Despawn

30sec later The Ancient Queen (Purple) appeared in the same spot, after 1 minute he despawned and The Hungering One(blue) appeared, despawned after 15-30s. Big F.

Loosing the rarest thing in the game because of a bug feels really bad.

I have lost count on Ancient Skellies, but around 15 if I would guess. Only a single one above 200+ coins. Rest usually around 120. No shrouded yet tho.

Ive gotten 5 ancient skellies in the past 2 months.

Never seen the Box or the Ghost.

Ancient skellies dont just pop up the moment you set foot on an island. You can find youtube tutorials that confirm the spawn is usually after spending a good amount of time on an island. So if your PvP oriented, and spend all your time on the seas instead of on islands, then you wont see one. Most of mine were from staying on Thieves Haven for haours.

I play since beta, got PL while The Hungering Deep and Athena 10 in november or december 2018...finished every event, sailed a lot, still sailing a lot, but not as much as I did in the first year

Found my first and only ancient skellie about 2 or 3 weeks ago while doing a Thieves Haven Athena voyage, got 274 ancient coins...

Never saw the shrouded ghost yet

When I see people talking about 4, 5, 6 ... 10+ AC, I'm jealous.
I've met only one AC two weeks ago and I even recorded it (It didn't recorded my mic but I was shouting to my friend "KILL IT KILL IT KILL IT")

As for the shrouded ghost... I'm still waiting for him.

I've been really unlucky with both of these, I haven't seen either, I've been playing since launch as well (however I did have a break for several months)

Hopefully the sea gods will favor me soon!

I'm amazed (and impressed) that you kept a personal log. What do you do for a living? Scientist? Engineer? Government Official?

A couple of the Ancient Skeletons, but no shrouded ghosts. Been playing for a bit after launch.

Sailed a bunch. Did some stuff. Most of it solo.

No ghost yet.... But I’ve seen a total of 4 ancient skeletons. One being the first day they released them.
