I dont care for legendary comendations, miles, kills or whatever. Happens by the way ;-)We were doing an Athena (also got A10 yesterday) and i dislike if people speedrun it and refuse to do the Cargo's etc...
I said i want to do them and both were for sure a detour.
Need to sail to the southeast to Three Paces East when all we need to do were in the North, old faithfull, Marauders....
We set sail and my mate said we get a Meg.
I answered ok, bit lets do the cargo first, we have Rum and Cloth and it would get wet and destroyed.
But it's him or her he said.
Sure i replied with less excitement as we often thought we would have seen it(?) and it wasn't true.

Expecring another false alarm due to lights and your mind play tricks on you, because you want it, but never know if it even exists.

For the title ofcourse... 😋 I rarely speed run anything, done very few voyages like that, usually only in the DR when I am solo and just want Dukes cosmetics and got fed up on waiting for the volcanic activity or after sinking for being careless, at that point just want to see the completed message and head to bed 😆 aka some late night sessions that lasted longer than anticipated.
I tend to make a point of bringing that castaway along and placing it on the table as my prized posession (once rowed after my crew with one castaway as they took off and refused to leave it behind) and foul skulls are known as Bob in my crew, my first pirate companion on the seas, that has to sail along near the helm. Gold is gold after all and a pirate should want it all...
However I do not enjoy cargo runs and only head out to do them if my crew feels like it be it during an Athena or as our main objective.
I to believe the numbers are just numbers and especially when it comes to the Arhena benchmarks... they are not something I chase as it felt like Rare told me to start anew.. still need to complete 30 Athena voyages, sell 30 Athena chests as I hit 10 before the spoils hit and pretty much only do them with company.
