  • Wonder if the chicken pilferer is a reference and tease to the possible "sacrifices" mentioned in the HD trailer

    It's the same guy obviously

  • I would buy this for 1 gold coin at an outpost. Someone needs to get on that!

  • @lifewcoke Imagine if this could be found at the island outpost shops... or on a message board in the tavern.

Would be nice to see :)

  • I have to admit...I missed the reference to @lizalaroo in the Museum of More Pirate trailer! I just watched it again...nope. Still do see it. Guess I need to get my eyes or ears checked...or lift both eyepatches? :-D

  • very cool

  • @clumsy-george @SpecialAdvisor

  • @clumsy-george thanks shipmate! Somehow I had completely missed the extra short films! Excellent shout outs! :-D

Oh...and thanks @Musicmee. If I had waited but a short few seconds later I'd have used your most excellent and handy links ;-)

  • this is really cool. Props to all involved in creating it.

  • @musicmee
Several sailors have asked the Pirate Times to issue a warning of shark attacks on the rise.....
...On the bright side, sales of peg legs have doubled.

    This made me giggle, haha!

  • Awesome!

Hope we will receive some by email too.

  • Lore fanatics... Note the date...

    18 / 05 / 1702

Looks like we now know the year we are currently in!

  • Lol the last news. Will try to find some clues on the sand.

  • @nic727 Hehehehe yup!

"Footprints found in the sand at each scene seem to suggest that either he has two wooden legs or his shoes are way, way too small."

  • @musicmee Those pirates have some mighty fine IT skills for their time :D

  • This is so frickin cool.
I can't get over how cool this is.
    So cool! 😆

Shoutout to Fortune and Crew of Thieves!

  • @drbullhammer Was that YOU GUYS in the tub? I remember seeing the picture a while ago but forgot the names sorry!

  • Fantastic idea, truly enjoyed this! If ever your short on some stories for future papers, I’m happy to lend any previous or future posts I do from time to time. Again, this is core community stuff and I really like it. Means a lot, keep it coming!

  • @musicmee
    Yours truly. 🤗

And now that i know what year we are in i can flesh out the background of my Pirate.
Did you know that in 1697 the first known first-class cricket match took place in Sussex?
I'll have lots of reading to do..

  • @drbullhammer @Thor-von-Blitz Well then great work guys! Famous spa visitors.

Glad you told me that @Thor-von-Blitz I was stumped finding facts from that era!

  • Love it! Settling down for a proper read now...

  • @musicmee
    cough

    cough

A small list of Events that took place prior to the 1700s.

I have like nine Tabs open right now reading through various stuff from the 1670s to 1700s. 😅

  • @thor-von-blitz

"March 11 1702 (O.S.) – The first regular English-language national newspaper, The Daily Courant, is published for the first time[1] on Fleet Street, in the City of London; it covers only foreign news."

"May 14 1702 (N.S.) – War of the Spanish Succession: War is declared on France by the Grand Alliance (Kingdom of England, Dutch Republic and Holy Roman Empire)."

    these two are pretty interesting.

    Edit:

who knew, you'll get educated in here....

  • The "alleged chicken pilferer" seems like a curious fellow.

  • Who did Fortune have to bribe to get a shoutout? First pirate union my butt.

  • That‘s really awesome, guys and girls!
I went all „Aaaawww...“ after clicking the link.

  • @musicmee
The banana was rather soggy though

  • @erinom3 Ewwwww no one wants a soggy banana!

  • @musicmee there's joke I'd really like to make, but pg13 prohibits me from doing so...

  • @sir-lotus Hahahaha... I was going for a similar one, but changed my mind!

  • @nic727 I really wonder what he wants the animals for ... Maybe he's sacrificing them to summon creatures from the hungering deep? :O

  • I was really pleased to see this on Twitter.
It's great to see things like this for/with/by the community.

It reminds me of a running "newspaper" that was a part of the City Of Heroes mmorpg.

I think the chicken thief may be on stilts... :P

  • @skritsarn Now that is an interesting theory... maybe the thing in the deep is his master?
