Stick to the Script on Safer Seas.

  • @pteth said in Stick to the Script on Safer Seas.:

@d3adst1ck i refuse to play something thats handicapped with reduced rates and garbage caps. i will continue to advocate for an ACTUAL pve option here, not some tutorial that leads to the same old toxicity of pvp.

Seems a bit misleading to constantly use 'how much fun it could be in pve without the pve griefers' as an argument when that isn't the issue at all, then.

  • @d3adst1ck i fixed the typo. which of course you knew what it meant, but felt the need to be apparently sarcastic about it.

  • @pteth I think that went over your head. It was not about the typo at all.

If the actual problem is that you want to PvE without worrying about other players so that you can experience the fun and beauty offered by the game, Safer Seas already exists for that. Continuing to use this in your arguments is misleading, because that is not what you are complaining about.

Players who just want to sail around with friends and have fun are already able to do that. Mission Accomplished.

Refusing to match the challenge difficulty to the amount of rewards desired, got it.

    Okay, ergusky.

  • These threads have been so enlightening, and people have really shown their true colors.

For years they complained about not being able to sail in peace, do Tales, enjoy the beauty and wonderfulness and ecstasy and lalala of the game, denied at the hand of the horrible toxic "ists" of all kind.

Now given the option to do so, turns out it was about saltiness of losing loot all along, darned be the game.

@habiki no, i realized its not worth trying to continue a conversation with you if youre too lazy to look anything up yourself. i pointed something out, and gave you a route to find said things because i dont think its possible or acceptable to be posting links here. so take your argument and your attitude and move along. i will continue talking to those that want to have a conversation, not to people who are trying to stir up a fight. good day to you.

I forgot all about this from a few weeks back.

Still don't have any kind of example to point to? So you're just going to say it isn't worth your time to carry on the conversation with me?

Why even respond a month after the fact if that's the case lol

    Good day.

  • @habiki
To be honest, he's salty yet burden of proof is allways laing of someone making a claim.

    Funny.

  • All the same, Safer Seas was designed and implemented in such a manner because they want it to fulfill a specific purpose/role. As such the stance is firm and arguing about it here is not going to further your case. (Though it may get you muted or even banned if it escalates far enough.) So let's be friendly and stop the arguing and attacks maybe?

  • @badger and yet they once said that any sort of pve would NEVER happened and the argument against pve was a thousand repeats of the dev statement. then the devs shifted their stance and brought in safer seas. while not the pve experience people have been and still are asking for, it definitely is a shift in the right direction. and why did it shift? because pve advocates didnt stay quiet and made enough noise. so the making of said noise will continue in hopes they will listen again and shift again.

but notice who is doing the insulting and the attacks, because its certainly not myself or other pve advocates.

  • The game design and intent for Sea of Thieves is a shared world adventure, and it always will be. Those who wish to play in the confines of Safer Seas will always have the option but we will not bring the rewards and activities in line with those of High Seas when many of the restrictions are in place due to the risk vs reward factor that is inherent in Sea of Thieves - removing any risk means rewards must be balanced accordingly.

Safer Seas will act not only as a safe space for our Tall Tale players but also for families with children who just want to pirate, for people who want to play the game but learn the ropes and it will organically feed into Adventure mode, keeping the player pool there healthy and upskilled as they've learned the mechanics.

This is not only useful for new players but families, players with accessibility needs - the whole game suddenly become available in a way it hasn't before, letting them naturally progress to High Seas and being a Pirate Legend. SoT has grown a huge amount in 5 years and it can be fairly overwhelming.

The borders put in Safer Seas mean that to experience the full depth and breadth of the game you will have to hit the high seas BUT if you're playing with your family you don't have to, you can just enjoy the game and have fun as a family.

    Dropping anchor here.
