@tardis1211 said in AI only mode:
I think a really neat idea would be a solo mode. this mode would have ONLY 2 functions. function one is it would give you an AI filled world, there are no players in this lobby. however, because of this, there is also NO way to get loot in this mode (this would be to avoid 50% of the player base using it to avoid the actual point of this game. the ENTIRE purpose of this purposed solo mode is to help players get used to the game more so than the maiden voyage will. it can also allow you to spawn ships to practice fighting. I think adding a mode for practice will be a big help to many, especially YouTubers who just want some b-roll or people who just want to sail with no real aim or purpose other than to ride along the waves.
apologies if there are duplicate tags, took me a minute to realize how adding them worked
no this won't help you infact this will only help you pick up bad habbits
i used to play a game called "For honor"
i used to play it competetively against other high skilled players
i wanted to rack up some more reputation and doing ai matches was the fastest as the A.I lack the function called "learning and adapting" so they usually just follow the same pattern they were programmed to follow while having mixed rng if they should block strike or dodge
but usually very easy to figure out
after many ai matches i went on back to play comp 1v1's about a week later
ended up facing someone i reguraly meet and i usually kick the ever living fluffy and puppies out of him
but i get sloppy and very greedy in attacking as the ai usually never parried blocked or combo they'd just take the hits and die
in the end i got so fed up as of why i was doing so terrible at a game i had played for almost 2 years
i quit because i realized i had to re-learn pvp in the game but this time with foes with equal time spent and equal skill only they probrably never played an ai match in their life
it will not help you
it will only ruin your experience further
what did i learn from this?
hardwork spent is rewards well earned
