@hashashin777 If you do not like social media then unlucky.. why not just check the SEA OF THIEVES website every so often or check duke's store, with every new update it is obvious enough to anyone who plays the game regularly.
Sea of thieves has never been a literal sandbox, it is an open world game where you can make your own adventures. People miss out because they dont pay enough attention to updates and then moan when the time has run out.
If you are worried about bad matchmaking, use the "looking for group" feature on Xbox. If you are on PC there are many many ways to find decent crews. If you want to know what the game has coming then join the insider programme.. it is there for a reason and the developers do tell you directly. If you do not have the time to play the insider builds then like I said earlier.. check the website, if you like the game that much to care about the updates then checking the website should not be a great pain to you.
Youre totally missing the point, man. THERE SHOULD BE NO THIRD PARTY WAY TO FIND THESE OUT! If I log into the game after a while of not playing, I should see something of an announcement when I OPEN the game. The devs should tell us ON THE MAIN MENU OF THE GAME! No middle man. No facebook. No website.
If I want to see whats new with Elder Scrolls Online, I log into Elder Scrolls Online and read the pop up when you open the game that says “PATCH NOTES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS”. I don’t go to Facebook. I don’t go to the website. I log into the game.
And theres no “unlucky” when people are intentionally cut out because of an area they live, and get better weapons cosmetically than the base game? Thats rubbish. And especially when the give away is under the flap so people just snap a pic of the code and move on. Had I known thats what give away meant.... But thats rubbish. Thats stealing. I paid for the code and someone stole it. Thats not unlucky. [Mod edited]
And I do use the looking for group. Clearly you dont use it cause youd see my name looking for a group, wouldnt you? And if you did use it you would know there are very little responses in general, much less people delivering what you are asking for (not 12 years old, know what Port and Starboard mean, do you know what those mean without google?).
As for the sandbox remark. Sandbox means open world. Minecraft is a sandbox open world game is it not? Right. Making your own adventures, right? Sandbox. Sea of Thieves was marketed and is still referred to as a sandbox, which means open world.
