The first couple of days there were people and interactions everywhere, but now it’s basically empty? Like one or two ships. The game felt much more alive. If this is because of a drop in players it shouldn’t affect the amount of people in the server, they should just have less servers? Does everyone have this problem, and if so it’s honestly how this will kill the game for me
Empty servers?
@hcvaughan If there are too few ships / players on one server it will merge servers. This prevents people from grinding risk free. Also, the reason there aren't a gazillion people playing is because the free X-Box Gamepass 14 day trial has ended.

@dewradley that’s the problem, there’s only a couple of people on the server and those that are run straight for the fort

I haven't seen a change in the number of people per server. You will never play on a server that has a very low population. It's not possible. You're just not where they are on the map.

Actually I was thinking same thing until yesterday morning I sailed around not seeing anyone for 2 hours skull popped I went thinking someone would be there. Nope me and my buddy were the only ones there we completed it noone even came by. Turned it in sailed around next skull popped same thing. It wasnt until we completes the second skull and were sailing off we seen a galleon at a outpost with all sails up looked like that had just spawned in.
