Microsoft has removed Sea of Thieves from its game pass selection.
Microsoft... this is such a cheap tactic. Call it business, but this is beyond disgusting. Not even letting those that purchased your game pass to even have more than a week on this game.
Now I have to decide if I want to give in to predatory business tactics and purchase a game NOT WORTH $60. I'd pay $30, but not full price.
It was fun while it lasted... just not $60 worth of fun.

I've just got call from M$ and they agreed that I can negotiate with you. No way we accept $30. How about $50?
@soopavillain420 Agreed, good riddance to the players who didn’t care to invest time into the game and instead trolled and harassed players. I do feel bad for op and other players like him though, that genuinely enjoyed and wanted to continue playing the game but now have to pay a fairly hefty price in order to do so.

If this is true (looks like it might be) MS will receive a lot of backlash, I and many others wouldn't have even purchased game pass if it weren't for this game.
Have already invested 100+ hours into it, now can't play without paying $100 aud, brilliant.
It's likely temporary or a glitch as I haven't seen any announcements from Microsoft or Sea of Thieves at all,
with all game pass games that get removed or added there has always been an announcement.

Its still on the advertising sure. But check the actual library. Its gone.
So...
On the other hand, I do feel for those of you who bought it for SoT, but again on the flip side... how many of you are actually just 14 day passers and even then.. $10 vs everyone elses 70,80,90.

Good for them they were smart enough to not shell out 60$ for an unfinished game.
@aristonsparta It is still listed in the game pass. Might be some bug after the update. Unless you have a link official stating that sea of thieves will no longer be available on game pass? I do agree it's definitely not worth the full price. That being said if you don't think it's worth the full price, there really isn't much to be upset about.

@mattydove74 I didn’t “shell out money for an unfinished game”, I purchased a game that I thought would give me entertainment and it did. Rare plans on consistently adding updates with new content so I am not concerned in that regard. As for those that didn’t purchase the game but played it through game pass, I will say once again good riddance since the majority of toxic players I’ve encountered turned out to be game pass users.
I would do the same if I saw that the PS4 troll army is getting a game pass trial for their windows pc, install the game and spread lies and hate towards this game on every channel they can find.
This is almost Diablo 3 or BF fan vs Cod or Cod Fan vs BF level.
Stupid internet.
That said, I love this game. And this is most likely just a temporary issue, or even only a gamepass website/issue. SoT is one of the main advertised games for game pass. Reported this thread for hysteric exploitation of a temporary technical issue to create a hate troll post.
I paid my $60 for the game, and feel like it was a steal for all the fun I'm having. Between testing and full game, I've logged over 600 hours and enjoyed every minute of it.
I'm guessing game pass just has an issue with the new update, since it is a complete reinstall, and probably requires some backend verification system.
Also, doesn't game pass still give a hefty discount on included games to subscribers?

I can also confirm that its not in Game Pass. Yes it shows up in the lists, but on the back end, its not in people's game pass accounts anymore. Not sure what's up.

No problem. It seems that some people are still able to access it, so maybe its just an intermittent issue with some accounts they're working on.
