Me and my friend started hearing voices and we were 100% sure we were alone. But still we could hear someone talk very low at random times.
And we just found out what it is, when you have "Proximity chat" on "Non-directional" you can hear other players on the map very low. Turn down music and SFX in audio and you can hear players talk. We could even use it to hunt down a 4 man ship and ambush them. So kinda game breaking!

Just discovered this and attempted to notify the only player with a mic in the game. (Thinking it was a problem on his end) He didn’t believe me and killed me despite my friendly attempts to tell him. Then I proved it by shooting my canon directly in the air from the horizon as he directed from a barely visible distance. I heard him from the wilds as he was fighting the skeleton stronghold. Only reason I found him.
