We all know there's plenty to do in Sea of Thieves so far, but what about other things to do on your ship with your crew, just hanging out?
An idea me and my friend came up with is a optional, purchasable "game table" to place below deck on your ship. This table would have card and dice games based on or just like ones pirates would play on long voyages or just relaxing at a port. You could also put free public game tables in taverns where you can meet other players and vote on what games you all wanted to play, based on the amount of people, respectively. You could even bet money and treasure and take your risks.
And for when you're on the Fery of the Damned, maybe not a game table, but small activities, secrets, and Easter eggs players can explore and find in the short time limit they have, just to give it a little more taste.
What does every pirate captain need? A little buddy to perch on their shoulder! If you're quick enough to catch a parrot, or even a rat, should be able to tame that animal and have it be their shoulder perched friend until the end of your adventuring days! Or until you kick it off. Your choice. Also stray dogs and wild cats would be cool to have roaming your ship as well!
If it's not an option already, perhaps being able to change the color or "type" of wood your ship is made out of might be a nice touch as well! Maybe not bright hot pink, or something too inaccurate to pirate culture, but different woods and old paints give off different vibes and personalities, as well as sail color! It would be a nice little touch to express you and your crew. Unless this is implemented already and I was just unaware.
Maybe more sea life than just sharks? Unless that is also already planned and I am unaware. Maybe coral reefs to explore and different species of fish and sea creatures to see and maybe even catch. Catching certain types of fish can also be including in voyages given to you by the trading company.
To accompany fishing, maybe you can also find other sources of food on islands, such as different fruits, or even making a meal of the wildlife. Maybe you can find unopened rum bottles as well, seeing as grog can get a little old, even for pirates.
These are just some concepts and ideas I hope people enjoy and build upon, and that maybe the developers over at Rare themselves see for themselves! Thanks for reading, and feel free to add onto this thread or onto these ideas!
