New to the seas...

  • Hey, mates. I'm only been playing SoT for about a month, spending my time in safer seas getting used to how everything works, and building up some coins so I could by my first ship. I set a goal for 1 mil. gold and hit it a couple of days ago. So today, I went into high seas for the first time, bought my sloop (named the Hispaniola), and headed out for my first high seas adventure.

I've been spending the last 4 weeks watching videos of SoT and reading articles in the official forums, and to be honest, I am very intimidated to be in high seas. I have rarely ever played multiplayer games, so I don't even own a mic. I know I'll learn how to deal with naval combat eventually, so I expect to be sunk more than a few times. I've sunk a few skelly ships in safer seas, but that's not quite the same thing as going up against real people. I just hope I don't encounter too many of those toxic players that I've been warned about.
