So yesterday my friend and I hopped online to both get doubloons cuz I need 300 for the dice roll emotes and I really want them just because, and do some Guardians of Fortune. We spotted a Reaper's bounty chest, went to it, got it along with some mermaid band for Hunter's Call, we went to a nearby Sea port, sold the gems and a trident we had, and had a galleon, who wasn't a Reaper, chasing us, which happened the last time I had a Reaper's bounty chest on my ship, and the galleon had all Xbox cosmetics so they were either probably new or they have great taste in cosmetics. So we decided that we'll sail right next to Reaper's and I'll jump off with the chest and sell it, which I had to do last time I had a Reaper's bounty chest on my ship. It went so smoothly that Michael Jackson would've proud. I didn't juggle the chest cuz I can't do it. But I sold the chest, and the galleon was right next to the island, and I told them we already sold the chest so they can skedaddle, but they didn't, which means they want to PvP, which we didn't want to do with a galleon because it would be over nothing, we would get smoked, and we wanted to do hourglass to make it worth our time cuz I need money for repair costs. So we approached a fog to try to escape, which also went smoothly and Michael Jackson would've been proud.
We then did hourglass, were we got into a hard fight, like we almost sunk multiple times, we had to raise anchor cuz we needed to skedaddle but the water in our boat almost sunk us, but we clutched somehow and was able to recover. We stopped multiple boarding attempts, killed multiple boarders, and had to raise anchor multiple times, heck we even had to fix our mast. My friend had to board them and we did massive damage to them, but they recovered, then we were fighting, and a sloop was coming our way that wasn't in the fight, and we let the man, who we'll call Courage, that this was hourglass and if he wants to attack anyone, attack our enemy with the glowing sail, but if he didn't then that's fine, but Courage attacked them, and helped us sink them, giving us 10k. We thanked Courage cuz he probably saved our poopdecks, and said we should alliance and do a FoF that had a Reaper at it, though we would stop at an outpost for us to lower hourglass and put up Athena while he put up Merchant. He went ahead cuz my friend as AFK eating a Lunchable and a sandwich and he had to vote to lower and raise. The Reaper at the FoF was a full manned brig, and Courage sunk them by himself, which is just skills so you gotta applaud the man.
We got to the fort and it was on the boss. We joined in the fight after getting hit my multiple fire balls, and I ended up killed Courage with a sword dash, and I apologize but he went to the Ferry when I tried to rez him. We did the fort, gave him the CoF and we got the CoL, and as we went to our harpoon spots, the brig was returning, so we put both chests on my ship while Courage held them off. We started sailing and wished him the best of luck and told him to try not to die. However, we made one fatal mistake. We didn't blow up the kegs in the vault...
The brig boarded Courage and blew him up with a keg, sinking him, though he sunk with honor and was willing to defend while 2 kids practically abandoned him for gold, we should've done more, but it wasn't the time for that anymore because we were still allianced with him and had to sell the chests cuz we said we would do so, so we did. We managed to outrun the brig and made a very big gap between them and us, and we decided we would anchor and I would sell the CoF and my friend would sell the CoL. It went very smoothly, and Michael Jackson would've been proud of us once again it was that smooth. I was on my ship starting to sail away, but my friend was on the outpost, so we dashed into the water and I harpooned him onto my ship. We should've lowered our grade 3 Athena emissary for extra goodness, but we didn't think of that. We sailed away and told the brig we sold them so skedaddle, but they wanted to PvP, but I said no and told them to skedaddle once again cuz we didn't wanna fight, but we would defend ourselves. My friend boarded them to anchor them after I made a failed attempt, and he did it successfully while I sailed away cuz we wanted to see if we could escape, when we should've just left cuz those dense scallywags don't know the definition of "We don't wanna PvP." They ended up sinking us and being toxic about it, but they didn't win. No, they didn't win because they were after the CoF and the CoL and we sold it, meaning we won and those dense scallywags failed. My friend and I talked in party chat, said they didn't win cuz they didn't get the chests, agreed, and said next time we played we should try to make an alliance server cuz why not.
And the funny thing is that the last time I Reaper's bounty chest on my ship and some time after we sold it, we got sunk by a brig, though that was because we had skeleton sloop loot.
Also, Courage, you know who you are, if you see this, we're sorry we didn't do more to try to save you, but we sold the chests so mission successful.
