The newest update, Heart Of Fire, has broken the Shores Of Gold Tall Tale, practically preventing it's completion if you die in the Gold Hoarder's chamber. You will NOT respawn in his chamber. Instead you respawn outside the 3 path doors in the Heart Of Fire Tall Tale. Dying again does not fix it. Using the mermaid statue does not fix it. As it stands Heart Of Fire has broken Shores Of Gold and needs a fix.
I had the same problem with my GF. I die once in the Gold Hoarders Chamber. We manage to get out the Heart of Fire temple after multiple time diying and changing spawn but always in The HoF temple. Once outside we take the mermaid and it get back into Heart of fire temple once again ......... We lost everything of the Shores of gold tall tale because we had to leave (it was the only solution)........
I would submit a bug report if you haven't, seeing as there are a number of threads about it. @TakuBoto
@highclasssoda Hey, my crew and I were able to get back to the Gold Hoarder after messing around for a bit.
After you all die and go to the Devil's Thirst have everyone but one person quit the game (you don't want to Alt + F4 because it might mess with it). After doing that try black screening on a rock and it might bring you back to the boss room. We were able to get this to work once.
After you have slotted the Gold Hoarder's Coin into the slot to begin your decent down the stairs. Have one person stay behind till you reach the boss room and have started the fight, have them 'join crew' by talking to the mermaid statue next to where you slotted the coin. We did this on the final time but forgot to test it further.
After you have all died and gone to the Devil's Thirst have everyone but one person leave the game. Have everyone come back, then do it again but this time have someone else stay behind. When everyone joins back get out of the Heart of Fire cave system and mermaid back. We did this one time but forgot to test it further.
As stated we only got this to work once, or forgot to test it further. Hopefully this will work for you and others. However without further testing I can't be sure if these will fix the issue.
