It's happened to a lot of us. It ALWAYS happens to me when I have taken a sleeping pill and say "I'm going to do a quick missions before bed." Last night was 2 hours. If you're a decent helmsman, they never even get close to you, but they make it impossible to turn your chickens in. They will drop a guy off on the outpost you have to go to (They always know for some reason) and then you set in for the long chase, hoping to throw them off enough. But like last night with me, they even fended off a Kraken before returning to the chase. They just did not get the hint that they were never going to catch us. But what can we do against these type of people?
Many of us have learned HOW to keep them at bay, by sailing into the wind and going through rocks and close to Islands and keeping their canons out of range or out of use. But what else can we do? We can't do the drop method because if they have people on the Island outpost camping they will just kill you and catch your ship if you're solo.
This thread is for discussion on how to defeat these annoying, immature, chasers and strategies to turn a 2 hour chase into a much shorter one.
This discussion is NOT for speculation on game mechanics in the future and only how to do it with what we have.
I advise anyone who is truly interesting in discussing this to completely ignore the trolls who enter to cause controversy.
