As the title states, I made the decision to quit this game after over 6200 hours of play.
And there are several reasons for this.
Firstly, in this game, I just come across the worst of humanity and the developers seem to let it happen. That's their credo, obviously. Don't tell me no because it's a reality.
This game could have been so much better, but after 4 years, still the same problems.
This season has been one too many for me. Daring to release a PvP mode that is full of cheats, glitches and so on and yet nothing is done. An anti-cheat? Not for SoT. A shame.
The worst of humanity I say, I've come across it many times. Don't tell me it's a multiplayer game and nothing can be done: It's not. If nothing is done, it's because we want to. We have to stop making excuses.
In 6200 hours of playing, I've met more bad people than good ones. And I've met even more of them this season.
Second: this game is full bug. Every time, every update, every addition it's the same thing: but I don't pay to have bugs: I pay to play. Don't tell me that it's normal: you have to stop. I remind you that we pay for this game. Even if it would be free, I'd like it, but no!
I told my community: I won't pay a penny more for this game, it's over. You have to stop taking people for cash cows.
The only thing the developers are good at is feeding their Pirate Emporium and that's it. Selling ship skins for 20 dollars minimum.
For my sanity I'd rather quit this game. I'd rather leave this forum which is full of people who think they are gods, who answer you badly when you don't agree with them.
I'd rather give my money to game publishers who really care about their community, not like SoT who only listen to the opinions that go their way, who take the opinions of their streamer friends first and foremost, and totally ignore the rest. And again, don't tell me that's not true, because I could give you examples.
To think that Rare is owned by Microsoft, the biggest company in the world, and they are unable to have stable servers. How is that possible?
How is it possible to still have this Hitreg problem after 5 years of existence? How is it possible? I can only think of one solution: they are screwing with us.
When you dare to say things clearly, but respectfully: the developers block you on Twitter. And you're going to tell me that developers listen to their community? You've got to be kidding me.
When you dare to criticize something worthwhile on this forum: the only thing they know how to do is to close the topic, but here too, you're going to tell me that the developers listen to their community. NO! They only listen to those who give them visibility: NUANCE!
And so as I'm fed up with being taken for the turkey of the joke, I prefer to leave this game, this community which is more and more toxic. I have given enough of my time, I have given them a chance, but now it's over.
I'm not leaving this game because of the pvp, I want to make that clear because as soon as we disagree with the mass of people here, we are accused of rage because of the pvp: CHANGE THE DISK. I'm leaving this game because I'm sick of it.
I'm pretty sure what the fate of this post will be, but know this: I'm dabbing my nuts with a nut. I know about censorship, but I'd rather get over it.
The only positive point I remember about this game is its artistic direction, the rest is in the trash.
