Pls this game needs some balancing!

  • Hey everyone ...
sry if my english isnt that good but i have a problem and i wanna just to draw attention on this problem. I really love this game and i makes so much fun but if you getting from everything attacked that you meet its getting pretty hard to do anything cause anyone is attacking you killing you once then jumping on your ship and spawnkill you 500 time until you disconnect cause you cant do anything at all.

    • Second problem is the main story. I really wanna do it but i simply cant cause in my case (im alone) i getting everytime bombed away and my quest is failed over and over again. How should i complete it if its getting everytime reseted -.-

    • Third Problem are the dumb cheater/hacker kids! In the last 2 days i got permanently oneshoted with a shotgun over a big distance and NO it WASNT the SNIPERRIFLE or PISTOL!

    • Solution for the first and second problem:
You just could implement a punishment system.

First part of the punishment system:
So if some player is killing a player he gets a bounty that every player can see in form of a wanted poster.

Second part of the punishment system:
This player who got the bounty on his head should attrackt more and more bigger skeleton ships, meg and kraken.

    • Balancing about the mermaid system
The mermaid shouldnt bring you back to your ship. Instead it get you to a near island or to an outpost/seapost. So you could stop this ugly gamestyle from the kids just jumping on other ships getting killed and comeing back over and over again.

    • Balancing about the respawn system
As soon you die you get on the ghostship like it is right now but if you spawn you should respawned on the nearest island or outpost/seapost. On this way you stop the spawnkills and its getting more punishing for the crews to lose one

    • Last point of Balancing and forcing some roleplay:
If your ship gets destroyed you have to pay amount of gold to get your ship back. The costs depends percentage on the money you have. i would say 5-10%

  • First of all, calm down, try to understand about this game first, then write a post, more calmly.

You can just scuttle your ship...

    • Second problem is the main story. I really wanna do it but i simply cant cause in my case (im alone) i getting everytime bombed away and my quest is failed over and over again. How should i complete it if its getting everytime reseted -.-

Keep your eyes at the horizon, ALWAYS!

    • Third Problem are the dumb cheater/hacker kids! In the last 2 days i got permanently oneshoted with a shotgun over a big distance and NO it WASNT the SNIPERRIFLE or PISTOL!

The blunderbuss can kill in one shot if the player is close to you.

Bounty systems have been cited a hundred times here, against players it might work, against ships it certainly wouldn't.

In this case, you clearly did not understand what the mermaids or the respawn system are for. The mermaids are just to get back to the ship, without them, imagine that you are solo on a sloop and fall into the water. Goodbye ship, goodbye loot. Bye.

The same thing happens with the respawn system. Someone enters your ship, kills you, you appear on an island. You would be the most affected here.

Your problem can be solved with a tip: Keep an eye on the enemy mermaids and their stairs.

    • Last point of Balancing and forcing some roleplay:
If your ship gets destroyed you have to pay amount of gold to get your ship back. The costs depends percentage on the money you have. i would say 5-10%

Imagine the player who just started playing right now. He loses the ship in an attack, without even knowing what is happening, and with his 0 money he cannot pay for a new one. The player who sank already receives enough punishment for losing his ship and everything in it. We don't need to punish more.

  • @targasbr and i see you just dont care^^

and BTW I GOT SHOT OVER A BIG DISTANCE WITH A SHOTGUN and i just was a oneshot

maybe (no hate) but learn to read

If I didn't care, I wouldn't even have answered you here.

and BTW I GOT SHOT OVER A BIG DISTANCE WITH A SHOTGUN and i just was a oneshot

You were possibly the victim of a technique called Double Gun, where you take 2 shots, a blunderbuss and a pistol in a split second. It can kill you instantly.

maybe (no hate) but learn to read

I can read, so much that I answered everything. You clearly need to learn more about the game.

OVER A BIG DISTANCE that means and i explane it now just for you cause you dont understand it..... HE wasnt even CLOSE TO ME that means he was far away on a other ship that means he couldnt be CLOSE TO ME

nah you cant read and you are one of them who just abuse any bug you can get thanks but just dont answer you are not even CLOSE A HELP

  • SoT is a Shared World Adventure Game. You are not the center of the universe and this is not a single player game.
There are no adjustable difficulty levels.

So instead of considering what the developers intentions could be, you come to the forums and call for a change.

    Good luck to you.

i don't really care too much about this post, but he didn't give "childish answers" he gave criticisms to why your points wouldn't work, saying it is a "childish answer" is a childish answer in itself, he also said, and i quote "You were possibly the victim of a technique called Double Gun, where you take 2 shots, a blunderbuss and a pistol in a split second. It can kill you instantly." meaning you got shot by two guns at once in rapid succession, if you really did get killed from another ship with a shotgun, which i highly doubt, then report the bug. He obviously can read because as he said he answered every single point you made with good responses, from my point of view he didn't misunderstand anything you said, so stop trying to avoid responding by making up stupid responses, that is hypocritical my guy.

I answered what should be done in each case. With tips that worked for me. I am not to blame if you are not mature enough to understand.

I have no way of knowing how far you were from the enemy. I was not there. I was not playing with you. But anyway, even from afar, the blunderbuss manages to take a sufficient percentage of its life for the pistol to finish the job. What killed you was not the blunderbuss, but both weapons used quickly.

nah you cant read and you are one of them who just abuse any bug you can get thanks but just dont answer you are not even CLOSE A HELP

Eu sequer uso duas armas, eu uso espada e blunderbuss. Costumo jogar em combate de perto, pois sou aquele que invade o navio para pegar jogadores desprevinidos.

I really don’t know what kind of help you’d like, I’ve given you tips that can help make your game better, that can keep you from getting killed. I explained why most of the things you said didn't work out in the game. I exemplified each one.

What do you really intend with this post?

This is NOT how you're going to illicit positive feedback.

These fine folks may be pirates upon the Sea, but here, they're the best possible help you can get - @TargasBR has answered your plight with full, detailed responses that are neither positive or negative - they're just matter-of-fact - and he addressed everything. He is simply helping you advance your own knowledge by sharing his. Do not bite the hand that feeds you.

OK then tell us how is it possible to one shot kill with the Plunderbuss other players over the full lenght of a Brig and NO they didn´t have 2 Guns only Plunderbuss.

  • I should have come in here before. It is impressive the amount of noobs that appear talking nonsense here... People don't even try to research about the game! (LOL)

  • I have been killed in seemingly mysterious ways before....and wondered how it was possible.

I've had crewmates accuse enemies of hacking, aimbotting, cheating, etc....

However, most of the times that I made a clip of the event, and re-watched it, I saw things I missed in real-time (a second shooter in the water, I wasn't at full health, secondary splash damage from cannon fire, etc...)

I've put thousands of hours in this game, and only encountered ACTUAL cheating 3 times....

If you think someone is cheating, record it and report them.

    Simple.

However, I think you should record a lot of clips anyway, especially when you LOSE, so that you can watch later and learn from your mistakes....

    If you WANT to learn.....??

If you DO want to learn this game (which is WAY more complicated than it looks, btw), then I strongly suggest that you ask QUESTIONS on this forum, instead of making demands for the game to change......

There is SOOOOO much sailing, pirating, and fighting wisdom in this community that we are willing to share with new players, but you need to see yourself as a student before you can learn.....

    Good luck in your journey.....

(also, sailing solo is the most difficult way to play this game. Find a crew.)

  • This has to be bait right?

  • there are almost 0 hackers in this game

  • @voodalis

It's not possible if they have full health but you probably didn't keep track of your health had died for that reason or someone from afar hit you with the sniper right before you got hit by a longrange blunder shot.

That´s what i thougt when it happend the first time so i started to watch my health and tried to keep track off all enemy Pirates. But they still kept killing me from this long distance with on single Plunder shot. Even when 3 of his Teammates where Dead he killed us with Plunder One Shots all the Time from atleast halt the length of a Brig. I can´t speak for my Teammates as i don´t know their Healt Bars but mine was full and he still killed me. Im not calling him a Cheater, but it was very suspicious.

And it´s sad but yes too many Pirates are just trying to kill every single Ship they see, regardless what they are doing right now or if they have loot. It kinda sucks if you just spawned in and set sail and the first Ship that see´s you kill´s you in an instant, without trying to communicate. This is supposed to be a Pirate Game and not a Battle Royal. I see nearly no Roleplaying in this Game sadly. No Interactions with other Crews or Alliances beeing made. Everyone is just Killing everyone. And this is how Sea of Thieves keeps losing Players coz of that toxic Behavior.

So enough from me and my Wall of Text.
Have Fun and a nice Adventure.

  • @voodalis Video or it didn't happen. Don't have 1? Your problem; not ours - we've done everything we can for you at this point, whether you accept it or not. Either way, you should probably report it to Rare's Support team. That way if it's a cheater, or a bug, then you would've helped the game in the process instead of just complaining about it.

I never complained about it Dude and i don´t care about it coz it´s only a Game. I said it´s suspicous but in a Fight you can easily miss a lot of stuff happening so im fine with it. But at some point i was wondering how he did it nothing more. Oh and BTW do you record every single session of Sea of Thieves? Yeah im not coz i dont want to kill my Hard Drives super fast. Recording an 4-6 Hour Session in acceptable Quality will fill up you HDD in an instant.

  • @voodalis Capture cards are your friend.

  • @galactic-geek sagte in Pls this game needs some balancing!:

@voodalis Capture cards are your friend.

of course i spend 300€ for a capture card just for the Purpose of recording some useless stuff^^. And buying a Capture Card is a really good Help (not).

  • @voodalis i think you got DG some people can pull their pistol out after shooting a blunder so fast you wouldn't even see the pistol this is why double gunning is hated because you can't really react to it with a blunder you can but with that quick switch speed of god you can't because as soon as some people use DG one second is all they need to kill you with the blunder you know you can get one shot and prepare for it so i highly believe you fell victim to a double gunner using quick switch exploits its annoying just for the fact is if they don't miss you are dead thats it its always a 100% insta kill if it hits the blunder is not its a very risky play and does not always insta kill or register hits its a high risk high reward pay off i have had plenty of moments where my blunder pellets all hit but they don't die but as soon as they turn around and blast me with their blunder im dead

  • Simply put.
    Game isn’t for you.

    Moving on.
