@spent-d Dont ever see there being a sub model, one the base game is too overpriced for a sub model and secondly sub based games do not do well on console. They arent booming successes like WoW on pc, there have been some moderate ones but then you get others that ditched sub and went free to play....Subs destroy a huge portion of playerbase, dlc is optional, a sub is a requirement.
@Ant-Heuser-Kush in all fairness, GTA V works exactly like that, granted the sharkcards are essentially pay to win in most respects but theyre constantly providing big updates for free. Its mostly to do with greed, Rockstar has had huge success with GTA V and its not to do with the sharkcards. You have Projekt Red basing their worth on the games merit, knowing full well their product will carry itself. Then you have other developers who plug their games full of MT's under the guise of "content" because the product itself wont be the required success without it.
