Hey pirates!
I’ve never been very active in the game, but there is one feature that would make me take to the seas for good: becoming a mer!
Even if it’s only temporary—being able to explore the ocean, do underwater‑only quests, discover the merfolk world, cause trouble for pirates, and so on.
The Sea of Thieves ocean is gorgeous and totally deserves to be explored in depth. :)
This is a request that’s been made tons of times, especially back when the game was first being developed, almost 10 years ago now! I still remember that Comic-Con 2016 video where the team talked about a pirate transforming into a mermaid… Incredible! It’s a shame it never happened.
But now that the game is almost a decade old… maybe it’s time to dare to add something really new?
