Would it "break the game" if you were allowed to change ship and continue your session? So many times I've been slooping with a friend and another friend wants to join the party. We have to end the session, lose all our resources and start again with a brigantine so they can join in. Or vice versa when we're playing with three or four people and one person needs to stop, all the other players have to lose their progress and start again in a smaller ship.
The only problem I can see with allowing players to change ship mid-session, is that players might spawn a galleon to get the extra resources, then instantly change to a sloop. But I'm sure there are ways to stop this being a viable strategy (e.g. charge a certain amount of gold to change ship, to account for starting resources).
I'm quite new to the game so I'm sure there are reasons I haven't thought of why this can't be allowed. I'd be interested to know what these are.
