Event Dates and Times

    The new Event Hub web page describes the new various daily, weekly and various ad hoc events, for which rewards are available:

    • Daily Bounties
    • Fort Nights (weekly)
    • Gold Rush (2 hours, each day)
    • Reaper's Rewards
    • Hunter's Haul

    For Fort Nights & Gold Rush, the times are given to us with "BST" (British Summer Time) specified; but the others have dates and times without a specific timezone. I have assumed BST for all, but some may be UTC. I hope Rare specify the timezone for all events, to make it clearer.

    However, the trick is to know what these dates and times are around the world. To help us all, I have created a Date/Time Converter on my Sea of Thieves fan Site at http://surveyorpete.fun/Tools/Times The drop-down at the top of the page, allows you to select any of the current events. You may also use the page for ad hoc date/time conversions.

    The Date/Time Converter even converts from real world dates and times to the date and time on the Sea of Thieves.

    That's true, but I have no problem with them stating the timezone on which Rare have based their choice of times and dates for any event. Localised conversions could then be added too, but as supplementary information.

    It is a shame that a website has to be used at all to check on the current dailies/events.

    Is this not another task that could be given to Duke?

    While it might be nice to have this information available in-game, say from Duke, or a notice board on every outpost; it would not replace the web site. The web site allows you to:

    1. See what events there are without getting into the game.
    2. See what events there are, even if you are in game, but up near Marauders Arch where Duke is not!
    3. Allows you to check your personal progress against targets (without cluttering the "Reputation" pages even more)
