I've seen a ton of games over the years change from how they originally were, becoming crammed with excessive MT to choking point and I can't help but worry that Sea of Thieves will end up going that way.
As it currently stands the emporium is okay with how it handles content, but I've witnessed it many times before where successful microtransaction models breeds greed and rather than the extra game sales and store purchases generating enough money (especially as games come to new platforms), it encourages developers to turn the game towards further monetisation of in-game content.
Are my concerns unrealistic?
