Shrouded Ghost

@ell635 I got a friend who fought the beast and a friend of a friend who has fought it. Both say that the beast is the same as other megs when it comes to difficulty and reward. Location isn’t specific as you can see by any video made with the ghost being battled. The being in a fog to get a better chance of summoning is false.

Truthfully getting the ghost is luck of the draw with some theory that based on lanterns you have a higher chance to get certain megs, for the ghost it’s getting the white lantern. I don’t know if it’s true but it’s worth a shot.

@scallywagmango Those rumors are nothing but that. When I met the Shrouded Ghost it was the very first fin my crew and I saw in that session.

@WestStormborn Add one to your list: There was absolutely nothing that made Shrouded Ghost different besides her color. I can't remember the exact loot because it was nothing memorable, just 3 pieces of stuff you can find on beaches.

The Shrouded Ghost is a random spawn and sadly there's nothing you can do to get a greater chance at it to spawn. The best way to find it is to simply keep sailing and play the game. One day you'll get lucky and find the elusive beauty that is the white Meg. I only hope that you that day has made sure to stock up on plenty of cannonballs.

I shall continue to hope that one of these days the Shrouded ghost will appear for me and my crew!

It’s disappointing to hear that a Meg so ultra rare has no increased difficulty and no increased value of loot.

I would hope Rare make defeating the Shrouded ghost more challenging and more rewarding too.

Some Megs I defeated I got two ancient bone dust crates which I thought was crazy. I would expect the same sort of thing or even better for the Shrouded Ghost!

@ell635 I mean, shrouded ghost is just another meg after all, no special loot, the fight isn't more difficult, the meg isn't larger or more aggresive. I think its just a random megalodon encounter. The porblem is that you just have to be extremely lucky. This is how I imagine it: ?% to spawn random event --- 50% Megalodon spawn / 50% Kraken spawn --- 80% Hungering One / 60% Crested Queen / 40% Shadowmaw / 20% Ancient Terror and finally about less than 1% is Shrouded Ghost. And that is how lucky you have to be to catch it.

I found it in the devil's roar surrounded by fog, haven't seen it since. Loot wasn't anything great but oh that title :D

The Shrouded Ghost is about the same difficulty as normal Megs out in the world. I've heard a rumor that you have to kill other Megs for it to spawn, but for me she rolled up clear as day without killing any prior Megs myself. Sigh... I've seen it twice but on neither occasion could I kill it.
1st time I had a noob crew from hell who didn't even know what was going on and we sunk (probably the maddest I've ever gotten over this game), and the 2nd time it simply despawned.
The first time I saw it it was in a storm at night, the 2nd encounter was in normal weather at midday, it spawns randomly like all megs.

I've heard it was white with pink eyes and aggressive.

I've heard it's more likely to appear in a fog, which is where I saw it, had neither the boards nor balls to kill it and a hold full of loot.

I have not heard the lantern theory tho, could someone fill me in?

It has a very very low spawn rate, don't bother.
