Is much too subtle. I did the voyage 5 times all late at night without much contact with others and almost no interference at all except once when i was inbetween runs and they ran scared after a momentary battle with myself and the good sir william of the bell, who had hopped in from his fishing trip to get one credit towards the 5, doubt that freeloader will even respond here to thank me though! Anyways, so i painstakingly did the same voyage only to be rewarded with an effect so subtle i believe it may as well be on the makeup tab.
It does look somewhat cool if i like, stand still and someone zooms in with a spyglass lol... i guess?
Unless your eyes glow black with white outline or green skelly magic or something when you get a kill or something i have yet to see, this effect is way to underwhelming and could use a more “violent” ink running effect and more clear emphasis on the eye effect.
I literally stayed up late and then the next day tried to see if my crew would notice any effect at all without me telling them, and they couldnt even tell when i told them (to their surprise lol) that i had gotten it, until later when the angry one noticed it while i was reading a book. Keen eye, its like hes got 2 screens or something that one. At which point i finally saw the ink running affect aswell.
Its not like i dont like the type of effect, its just too subtle. Maybe players could level up their respective curses each session to make them more obvious and cool looking, for various things related to the curse. This one gets more potent with skelly kills and pvp kills, the gold hoarder one with chests dug up or stolen or turned in, etc.
