Question about the price for PC

I notice that the only way to get the game for pc is either via the Microsoft store and using digital copies. No retail store near me sells the digital copy and the Microsoft store is too expensive, I can walk into a Target and buy the game for $39 dollars for Xbox, but yet the minimum for price I can find it for PC is the $99.99 Microsoft store price. Will there be a Christmas sale?, or are there any other normal sales or ways to get cheaper? I want this game badly as it is the only other game me and my xbox friends can play together other than fortnite (i hate fortnite).
