For Consideration for Post Pirate Legend Goal.

    I have a suggestion that I would love feedback on and maybe even some dev support or dev consideration as an addition to the game...

    As a pirate legend who has way more gold and doubloons then I will ever spend. I find it difficult to continue to dig up chest and fight skellys for their skulls since coin does not mean the same anymore..

    My suggestion... a Personal Pirates Legend Lair. A unique instance for just me or members of my crew. A place where I can even bring chests or trinkets, skulls and barrels and create a pirate legend hoard of wealth. This way I would have a reason to keep going and digging and swinging my sword! Maybe even a place where you need to spend coin to make this happen. so 1 million gold to get your very own spot in the Atheana's Fortune or maybe even some where else. You crew could even come in and take some loot if you allow it. To help your friends if they need.

    Thoughts? How difficult would this be to implement? Possible?

    I sure hope so...

    This makes me remember the concept made by someone who works at Rare a few months ago on the Tavern of Legends:

    What pirate wouldn't dream of having all this gold in front of him? So does it mean that Rare is working to implement this in the game? Who knows! But new content for Pirate Legends is on its way so I guess we'll see soon enough! :)

    I certainly would back that idea, and i’m not even a legend (yet). Would also be nice to see upgraded interiors for Pirate Legend ships. Ones that clearly send the message that this player has a fortune.

    I LOVE THIS this idea is great they would just have to find away to keep your items in there and not despawn after you log out, I want to see this in game, i love nothing more then hoarding treasure (pirate) and how cool would it be where you have a spot you could decorate with skulls and chest ect ect ect. i would pay 5 mil gold for my own spot to do this, like you i have no use for treasure nowadays, i recently let a mysterious box sail out to the red sea on my sloop and made a video just to say i let 25k sink lol give me a reason not to let all treasure sink. such a good idea please make this happen @Rare

    This sounds like such a great idea, I’ve been bored since pirate legend mark and that sounds cool. Like you could buy secret bases for your personal space. Such as having a cool base built in a volcano, or one that is on a huge island. The list could go on so every island has a slot for a base. The matchmaking could also work that if someone has the same base location as you, you would be qued for a different server

    But what would happen if somebody would sneak in and stole every goldcoin they can grab/ sail away with? i fear many people would be enraged or totally leave the game after such a remendous loss

    @xxlibertyjackxx I'd love to have a lair, a vault, an hideout where I could see all my gold (or bring it and store it there (to cash in?))
    Something we could spend gold on it to decorate, where we could plan voyages, change ship type and customize it, etc.
    A personalized place (could work as the appartments in GTA online)

    What if:
    When you become a Legend and pay $1 million gold you're offered some random location choices to designate your base location. Your Legend Hideout is a small, hidden island that only appears when you play a special tune at that spot on the map, appearing in a magical fog bank. It's like a skull fort, with defenses and a vault. Anything you put in the vault either A: persists through multiple sessions, or B: goes toward unlocking more cool features for your base or other legend goodies.
    The island base is active and able to be attacked while you're there. If you're killed while there, you drop a vault key like a skelly boss.

    I absolutely love this idea! I have always dreamed that Rare would eventually implement some kind of hideout to customize. Players need a way to show off thier legendary status and have a personal space to deck out. Gets me nostalgic for all the time I sunk into Star Wars Galaxies tricking out my home. I would much rather see this as an endgame goal as opposed to just uncapping the trading companies and watching the counter go up further. I think this aligns perfectly with Rare’s goal of horizontal progression and how customization and vanity items are the best way to show off your dedication to the game. I can only hope this eventually makes it in. It would be great to see this idea implemented!

    Not sure everyone will be thrilled the treasure ends up at one person.

    They could easily do something like this but make it then when you go to your hideout it's not on the main server so everyone enters their hideout in the same location but it takes you to your personal one and you can invite people there if you want. It should be a certain amount to get the main room and then pay more gold to have construction workers come out and add another room and pay to decorate it with a bunch of decorations and you could choose like a cave or a house or an island or whatever.

    YES, I was talking on a similar thing with my friend some days ago. Would be awesome to have you own lair and to see all your wealth as a hoard

    Ahhhhh! Somewhere to avoid the pressure of looking my Pirate best, somewhere to sit with my pet Cat (when they arrive), in my pants, surveying all that loot I have amassed!

    Although I am not a pirate legend and Rare statet that they rather see that a pirates ship is their home.

    I have to say that it's a great idea that pirate legends have there own place, a lair where they can show off their fortune. An underground hideout witch they can fill with their money and decorate with furniture and stuff like a big decorated mirror to look at their fancy outfit.
    Ofcause it would be supercool if they can invite friends to show off. I love the idea!

    I like the idea and the fort key aspect but they really need to take a few steps back and realize that duplicating gold in a game where gold already is piling up and has no real uses is a terrible idea. Alliances need to be changed, imo the size of the crew should affect the split also so that the added risk of less players gives a reward.

    Someone elses suggestion of a dice game or inter crew dueling would be a better way of adding this than duplicating treasure for legend hoardes.

    @clumsy-george The point would be that this specifically would be thief proof! A completely spectate instance from within the Athena’s fortune a portal you would go through to get there and only you and your crew could. So if you do t trust your crew don’t go there with them :)
