So I joined a random crew today, and two guys had outfits i havent seen before. They both had on a golden chestplate and a golden helmet. I am very sure that this is just cosmetic as usual, but i had no idea that that set existed. Does anybody know how to get the gold armor set? I really wish i had taken a screenshot of it, i fell so stupid now for not taking a screenshot.
How do you get the golden armor?
@hunty-guy Ahiy matey!
Could it have been the Imperial Sovereign items like below? If so they arer found on Plunder and Ancient Spire outposts.
@hunty-guy As @Musicmee stated, it was for sure the Imperial Sovereign Set. It basically looks like a conquistador outfit when you have the full set. Ancient Spire and I believe Plunder Outpost will carry the set. It’s very unique in its appearance compared to any of the other sets.
@admiral-rrrsole Considering Sea of Thieves takes place in 1702 it's pretty outdated armor, but it is heavily based on, or inspired by the armor probably worn by Spanish Conquistadors during the Age of Exploration, so it fits in rather well.
Not sure how you're getting a Roman feel from it mate.
@tundra-793 Really? You don't see the Roman army all wearing that sort of stuff?
Exactly as I described with red feathered mohawk and all. lol :o)
Roman gladiators, etc?@admiral-rrrsole I mean, if you put pictures of a Centurion and a Conquistador side by side, you can see the resemblance sure, but they're still very unique and distinct from each other.
And the popular depiction of Conquistadors definitely is the foundation for the Imperial Sovereign armors, very far removed from any Roman influences.
@tundra-793 Gawd geez, you're talking to a senile ol' f**t who is older than history itself. lol So please don't get too technical. :o)
